I hope we don't try to defend this one goal lead all game. Yeah we're down to ten but Swansea are absolutely turd so we should definitely still be trying to get a killer second goal. Get to HT, regroup a bit, and then come out hard for first 15 mins of second half. If there's still only a goal in it with 25 to go then yeah drop back but I don't like the idea of doing it for an hour.
I thought the first yellow was because of an appalling kick out from Forster, which didn’t give Valery a chance to control, so he slid into the tackle. Clear yellow in my opinion. 2nd had to be a card, as soon as Obafemi went down and the foul given - Andy it was a foul, albeit soft, because the hand was on his shoulder and there was a nudge. But, as Ralph said of the Salisu one, he should rely on his keeper, as there was a good chance he would have got it.
Would not be surprised if Swansea get a double yellow on one of their defenders as the game goes only.
So, both of Swansea's centre backs on Yellow Cards. That should give us opportunities to entice one or other of them into some kind of foul play, just to even up the numbers. Alternatively, they substitute these players, but that ought to mean a weaker Swansea team. Unless they have super subs...
Stupid from Valery to even risk a foul there. I agree Obefemi’s not getting there before Forster but I doubt Valery had time or viewpointvto consider that. What’s ludicrous for me is it’s only 2 weeks since Salisu’s red where Ralph made a point of how you shouldn’t risk the second yellow, instead trust your GK to make the save. Somewhere that messsge hasn’t got to Valery.
I would be tempted to take Armstrong off for Lyanco as he gives the ball away too much. Stephens to RB and get JWP back into midfield
Quite pleased there's no fans in the ground now. Playing with 10 men plus the crowd urging Swansea on it would be more intense. Without a crowd it's effectively a 10 v 11 practice session.
