I didn't know that but they've hardly reneged on the agreement one week into the window.

Just seen that Newcastle lost 1-0 at home to Cambridge Utd. First thought was they've probably chucked the kids in a sacrificed the game to focus on surviving relegation. However, having looked, they played a full strength team, including Trippier!

Isn't it funny how things can come full circle. Everton fans used to laugh at Rafa Benitez, now they're a laughing stock even with him in charge.

 

Its a very strange situation.

Other Everton managers have been sacked for far less, yet they seem to be hanging on to Rafa for some reason I can't see.
Is it cause they can't afford to sack him? Do they think they're sticking two fingers up to us by having one of our ex-managers? Are they trying the noble thing of not sacking a manager mid-season?

 

I think he has been incredibly unlucky with injuries and now pressure is on and confidence is low
