I think you mean the "actor" who appeared in the first scene in the first episode of Coronation Street, I haven't watched it in years but I believe he is a Leicester supporter who posts on these forums

 

I had the vinyl, cassette and CD versions of War of the Worlds

The vinyl version was the best because of all the artwork on the sleeve and inside

 

My uncle had that on vinyl. I remember him playing it when we went over to stay one Christmas. Me and my brother were upstairs in bed. ****ing scared the **** out of me

 

Bought the CD's for my Dad a while back loved the cassettes when I was a kid.
