His attempted put down at the end spoke volumes..'We take advice from people that are ACTUAL vaccine experts'. That's the sort of response that gets peoples backs up, and reduces confidence.

It will still take them 8 months to produce all the data instead of 75 years.

I’d guess because the amount of resource required to go through and redact 55k of pages of confidential scientific data per month is not insignificant. There’s probably a happier medium between 500 and 55000.

if they didn’t redact, that would trigger lawsuits from Pfizer.

I very much doubt the 75 year stuff will be included anyway, but why move it from 50 years and why resist? Surely, if it is scientific, it should welcome peer review.

I would expect the bits they'd be allowed to redact, largely fall outside of this anyway.

Well the Doc has support in the House of Lords. It's amazing it got as far as it has.

DHSC’s figures anticipate that, of the 208,000 currently unvaccinated workers in the sector, this legislation will result in 54,000 (26%) additional staff being vaccinated and 126,000 (61%) losing their jobs as a result of not complying with the requirement of being vaccinated: this seems a disproportionately small gain for legislation that is anticipated to cause £270 million in additional costs and major disruption to the health and care provision at the end of the grace period. The House may expect to be provided with some very strong evidence to support this policy choice, and DHSC has signally failed to do so.

And yet at the end of that clip, Kings College Hospital Trust issued a statement saying 90% of their staff had compiled..

I’d also expect they might have earned enough profit to shell out for a decent sized ‘redacting team’ too (although admittedly I know **** all about the process)

Mother 'put her son in car boot after he tested positive for COVID-19' to avoid getting infected

The 41-year-old had driven her teenager to a COVID-19 testing site in Houston for confirmation he was infected.

Beam allegedly told officials she had put her son in the boot so she wouldn't get exposed to the virus.

The boy was discovered inside without any safety restraints, but was unharmed.

An official informed the mother that her son wouldn't be tested for coronavirus until he was moved to the backseat of the car - then left to inform the police.

The boy was in the backseat by the time she returned, and surveillance footage shows the child getting out of the boot and into the car.

Beam, who had worked as a teacher in the Cypress-Fairbanks school district for 10 years, had been placed on administrative leave.

A group of 'social influencers' seem to have found they perhaps don't quite have the social influence they thought they had. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

CANCUN, Mexico -- Some members of a rowdy group shown dancing, drinking and vaping maskless aboard a flight to Cancun find themselves stranded in Mexico after their return flight to Canada was scrubbed and other airlines have declined to fly them home.

The group flew to Cancun from Montreal on Dec. 30 aboard a Sunwing Airlines charter flight for a trip organized by "exclusive private group" 111 Private Club.

The FOI request is to FDA to say “tell us what Pfizer has told you”. So it’s the FDA that has to release the data they have on file, not Pfizer. It’s political theatre anyway - what are they going to do with that data? Do they think they’re going to find something in there that no other expert has?

If anyone is really interested, the summary basis for approval is here: https://www.fda.gov/media/151733/download. The U.K. equivalent is here: https://assets.publishing.service.g...IZER_BIONTECH_ext_of_indication_11.6.2021.pdf and the European one can be found here: https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/docume...-0077-epar-assessment-report-extension_en.pdf
