The status of Irishness and Englishness within the great pantheon of humanity is not relevant when discussing the act of racial discrimination which is defined by the U.N under Part 1, Article 1 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.....unless of course you know better than the U.N?
And why is it socially acceptable to call yourself a nationalist, but not a rascist? aren't they both manifestations of bigotry?
John comes from good, old-fashioned East London criminal stock. One can only guess how he'll occupy his time when he retires and doesn't have football to distract him.
When you define people in terms of their nationality, you discriminate against anyone not belonging to that nation. Surely?
My apologies if this has already been mentioned but why would John Terry say that Anton Ferdinand was a Blind C*** if the accusation was that AF thought he heard JT had insult him? Surely it would have been "you DEAF C***" if that was the case. Football players Eff and Jeff all through games but JT along with Wayne Rooney have been the worst for giving verbals to refs. Despite any number of 'respect' initiatives too many players still get away with openly insulting the officials and historically Chelsea & Mr T have been some of the worst culprits. Maybe if the refs had the balls to yellow card every curse from day one of a season then by the end of August it would have stopped. There is a difference between a frustrated I-just-missed-a-sitter-for-Fecks-sakes outburst and an "oi ref you effing cheating c-you-next-tuesday" in their face and in front of the cameras.
