I agree he's only made this move for money. He's got a dodgy history, I'm sure he got himself in trouble for some sort of betting irregularities over in Spain. I still think he'll improve them, though. Interesting they thought they were getting Coutinho (gone to Villa) but now seem to be in for Cantwell from Norwich. It's clearly still a struggle for them to talk players into signing.
With the type of pull they have sitting 2nd bottom, there'll be a queue as big as the season ticket waiting list to sign for them then
That’s how deluded the pricks are, we pulled off the great escape a few times and one them sent the dribblers down. But they excel in rewriting history and talking bollocks so why not start it early.

It was the European football bloke that was on talkSPORT that said it. Last week they were on about Derby and saying will it be the best great escape ever? Someone tweeted in saying about our great escape under Poyet, Charlie Baker, "I'm not familiar with that one". Ended Jose's leauge home unbeaten run over 2 terms in charge, Beat Man U at old Trafford aye mate, only team Man City couldn't beat that year but aye mate, didn't really happen. If that station speant less time w**king over teams like Spurs,West ham and Everton, they may have a bit more footballing knowledge. Newcastle are only getting their arses kissed because of the money.
In that season we had just been Hammered away to Spurs which was 5th consecutive loss. GP after that game said we needed a miracle. We had a run of very hard games to play, were 7 points adrift and still stayed up with a game to spare.
It's all about the media links, mate. For what ever reason we don't have the kind of media sycophants that other clubs do. Most are either ex players who are myopic about their own clubs but know sod all about others (Tony Gale, for example) so just quote media or come out with the usual clichés about other clubs, or are bum licks to certain managers so crawl after what ever club they are managing at that time (see Rafa for that). We aren't alone, there's others that get the same treatment, it's just that we notice it more as it involves us. And somewhere like Talksport is pretty much just click bait radio, so they crawl after certain teams hoping their fans listen in so they can get more advertising revenue. You can bet now that if Rooney wasn't at Derby they'd get practically no mention other than their financial issues.
It appears Newcastle fans are claiming 'Ashley is a bad owner'...despite the opposite. Financially stable, and sold them to a country with deep deep pockets of cash. All the better if Derby are bought, we can't see another club go out of existence.
Ashley would sort Derby out, no problem. Exactly what he does, buy a stricken asset for buttons and sell for a profit.
Exactly, he is a businessman after all, who has the well knowledge of how to deal with a distressed property. Now, I don't know much about Derby's financial stuff, but don't they have a loan with MSD? (yeah those buggers) Their former owner owns the ground, and training facilities? Plus, a huge court case (I think it's a court case, maybe just an EFL tribunal) with Boro & Wycombe over last season. If there is one man who's stupid, willing and able to take that on....its Ashley.
If Ashley is interested and ends up walking away for some reason then I'd suggest they are well and truly ****ed, because he can smell a profit a mile away.
Not sure if you missed it but Howe has confirmed that he signed as he was ****ing himself.blind at the prospect of being in a relegation battle. There is no doubt bout his main motivation, I mean he is leaving one of the top teams in one domestic league to join one of the ****test ones in another of course it's for the prestige and opportunity to play for them. They will lap it up and he will probably be a decent signing and give it his all. He could be another Owen though.
