Can see this being a scrappy affair with Wycombe doing their usual ****housery and trying to bully us to a win. However, I think the team is made of stronger stuff nowadays and if Wright can reproduce his tussle with the Sheff Wed player, it'll send out a marker. I'm going for a tense 2-1 win to us. Great thread as usual @RTB

You'd think the refs would've realised how much they're being conned by Wycombe ...

... stand by for 98 minutes of their players throwing themselves to the ground, surrounding the referee and waving imaginary cards.

I watched the original Wimbledon, at Roker Park, and they were anti-football.

Wycombe are worse, absolutely horrible football that the locals go along with.

Despite Wycombe's best efforts not to play football against us out record against this lot is pretty decent and I expect that to continue tomorrow, won't be easy but see us prevailing if we bring out our A game.
Bit worried about possible missing players or was LJ being a bit coy to confuse everybody.
Safe travel to all those going and super thread again RTB as usual HTL.

I'm going to this, despite how grimy the experience always is, and will be happy to stop them winning.

Wycombe dropping two home points is as good as us winning one although three would obviously be better.

It's sad that we're already talking about needing a competent referee who won't be bullied.

The best outcome would be two penalties, in the 9th minute of the usual time wasting period, to come back from 1-0 down.

Just to state the obvious, but Harris is loaned to Barrow, so who else as an attacking sub?

Ellis Taylor was one of the ones with Covid but he played for the 23s the other night so must be all clear now. Not a striker, but would be an attacking option maybe.

Superb thread RTB. Some real in-depth analysis in there.

As many have said, this will be a really tough game. Wycombe play to their strengths and are good at grinding out points. Having said that, if we play to our capabilities and don't get dragged into a bitch fight, we are more than capable of picking up 3 points.

I'm going for a 2-1 win for the Mighty Mackems, although I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw. I think Stewart will be cock-a-hoop after his hat-trick and they won't be able to handle him.

Stick Dajaku in the central attacking role second half if need be, raw maybe but he has all the attributes imo.
Great to have your threads back after the lay off RTB. <applause>

We havent played for over a week now mate, so i dont think anybody will need resting.
The only change i can see is Winchester coming in for Evans

Think Cirkin gives us more defensively than Gooch or Dajaku so I would do as others have suggested and think about resting Dajaku first half and Gooch further forward. Defo prefer Winny to Evans on what I've seen so far, interested to to see what LJ does in this one, its another test for him as well as the team imo.

My take is this will surprisingly be a tougher game than the last one, and this lot are sure to throw everything at us down the left and target Gooch in particular, hopefully I am over rating them or under rating us, time will tell. <ok>
