Ok. Then I'm very surprised that a Councillor is speaking on behalf of the entire Council. Perhaps he doesn't know how the Council works either!
Can't believe I missed the page number while discussing bloody councils! Well done Plum. You are indeed the provisional 'New Owner Sweepstake' champion. If there is a scarf over the head photo between now and 1904 pages then you have the titled formally bestowed upon you and will then, I'm sure, feel able to add it to your letterhead and various promotional materials, and probably even celebrate it with a tattoo. Of course if the photo still hasn't been taken before 1904 pages then as you know Balkan and Kemps will take the title jointly Well done. You are a fine estimator of football club take over timescales.
If the takeover isn't done before 1904 pages you might as well shut this down as we'll have all argued ourselves into oblivion.
Thanks Dennis. Plus, there is a time lag. Scotts Superbus Services speaks privately to a senior transport officer in the council on Christmas Eve. That officer speaks to his director on 3 January. That director briefs the Chief Executive on the 6 January in their weekly catch up. The chief executive lets the council leader know the following Monday. Etc, etc. It might take weeks, quite reasonably, for a random councillor to be briefed. And that’s WITHOUT a NDA in place!
Sold out or not for sale in the first place. E3 greyed out but no one part from members who did it earlier can buy tickets in there. WU not for sale to anyone etc etc
I would just like to remind people that I shall be even handed and have no favourites in this race, and am therefore available to the highest bidder.
Did a lot of work with an architect who for a long time was employed by the council. He was told very early in his career to get a notebook and record almost anything he was told to do he wasn’t certain of , who by and when . Lot easier now with e mails !
Arf As a stalwart of CI you will have been well aware of the names the Allams were called as soon as they took over hilarious they weren’t. Did you join in?
The Tigers Trust which operates the arena now, is far more community targeted than the SMC management of the time when they ran the arena. Last year it had over 33,000 contacts in the community and Hull benefits more now than it ever did when clubs simply hired the main hall. I am proud to be associated with the arena and I know that its use by supporters is envied by other clubs. We have as supporters a place to call our own, the trust manages the bar, but the Official Supporters Club partners the trust in the pre-match and other events. It is a great place, that feels like it belongs to the support. This constant dredging of a one sided story, really needs to stop. It was not all as it was portrayed. The arena may have ended up closed for good as the floor was knackered and with the amount of losses it was incurring, there is no way it could have continued as it was. Don't walk past the arena bar on your way to the game, drop in and have a beer, it's cheaper than the stadium. Justin Whittle will be there around 4.30.
Maybe it's just me but I can't see any reason why Acun would announce it today even if it's done. He's a media man, and tomorrow evening he has a primetime audience of probably 1m+ viewers. I suspect he'd love to tie it in with a new signing too
