I suspect there are a good few on here who would disagree with you on that point. That is EXACTLY what I was like at university. Soon changed my tune when I first had mush - didn't have money for beer.
Dont get me wrong I smoked it til i was 25.. best thing I ever did was giving it up... regardless of what anyone says it makes you lethargic, paranoid, moody, forgetful, boring.. I could go on...
I think if you have the odd joint in the evening or weekends then it's all good. The trouble is kids that sit around smoking it all day and do **** all else give it a bad name for people that enjoy it the way it should be enjoyed. At the end of the day it is less harmless (in virtually every way) than booze. Personally I love a joint in the evening when the kids have gone to bed and I can sit there listening to some good reggae - that's my idea of relaxation, and I can't see it changing any time soon please log in to view this image
Not if you don't abuse it - and use it purely as a relaxation aid I don't suffer from any of those symptoms and I've been smoking for nearly 20 years.
I would have said the same as you when i was a smoker of it... As you cant see the difference it makes when you dont use the stuff.. I wasnt ever a heavy smoker though i did it on an evening just one or two maybe a few more at the weekend.. But once i stopped it, I didnt have mood swings, I didnt over react to situations by over thinking them and turning them into something they were not.. my memory was better and i felt i had more energy.
Yeah, I agree with that. Probably because I used to smoke to get stoned, like drinking to get pissed, rather than for the enjoyment and relaxation that Sky mentions. I don't miss bifters one bit and so when I do have the occasional one enjoy it for what it is. When I used to smoke it eventually highlighted any worries I had rather than making me chilled. I'd be worried about money, my job etc. when stoned. Then the skunk became too strong anyway and i'd be more concerned with controlling the whitey's!!
They're the new Leeds fans. Maybe their relegation a couple of seasons ago ignited more bitterness in them.
Thats exactally the same as me... I got nothing against people smoking the stuff but people that do are generally blinkered to the effects it has. Its like I bet you all get a bit panicky when you run out an you cant get your hands on more... I can quite easily have no booze in the house for weeks.. though i clearly do enjoy a drink.. Its like people who smoke it feel they cant relax without it... I find a glass of red works just as good and doesnt make me sick to the stomach worrying about stuff.
Yes no doubt. Cannot understand the sudden explosion of interest / hate in Utd and Liverpool. No doubt it always was there but I'm shocked at how it has manifested itself of late.
I'm pretty sure it will all go very wrong very soon...... I wouldn't know I never run out! I'm by far a heavy smoker, it lasts me ages. I stick to 3 simple principles: 1. Never smoke in the day (haven't had a joint in the day for over 5 years) 2. Never smoke when I have anywhere to go. 3. Never smoke when the kids are about. I'm only 32 and for my age in my profession I am reasonably successful so it hasn't had a negative effect in that sense. Gone are the days when I used it to purely get stoned. Plus I don't smoke all that chemical **** that most people smoke so I don't get paranoid or anything, I've had the same guy I get it off for years and he's old school and kept it that way. P.S. I enjoy a drink more, and drink like a fish when I'm out
What's up my ******s?! And yes i'm looking forward to trip to the Newcastle board soon. Taken a lot of **** from them since January. Those of you might remember when they came over, destroyed our rep and left. And of course the whole Carroll thing. Amazes me how bitter they are, and how overconfident they have become.
My Mrs bakes it in brownies because she can't stand smoking but she has a painful condition in her joints and it has made living with her far easier than before. I like to make the occasional joint now and again if I don't have work the next day and also at night time. Because I use the stuff so recreationally I am a complete lightweight and I don't have to use much to get full effects.
Here you are mate, I will read out word for word a text my Geordie mate sent me yesterday... "Haha, never had a problem with Liverpool until kenny took charge and last January, yous want to **** off from colo haha" When you go on the Newcastle board you will see most of their new hate and bitterness is from Kenny. I think it's a mix of buying their players and finishing 13th in the Prem 13/14 years ago. They are incredibly bitter!
