Because the games are only three days apart. But yeah, it's one of those situations where the extra game time might actually benefit him.
Does anyone think we should rest Broja? And also give Che and Armstrong a whole match together? It’s unlikely that Broja will be here next year but Adams and Armstrong are our permanent strikers.
Running the risk of tipping over into politics here, but I have to put up an opposing opinion about Drakeford for balance. Whilst I dislike how the Tory’s are running the UK Government, I am equally not staunchly in favour of other parties in particular. As someone who doesn’t regularly go out drinking/socialising, I have not been too affected by the restrictions in Wales so perhaps my opinion is swayed due to this, but at all points I have felt that Drakeford’s decisions have been made with people and their health at the forefront of his mind as opposed to BJs approach to seemingly placing business and the economy above all else. When Drakeford is asked a question, he answers it with confidence and strength that defies his weak appearance and always addresses the question at hand - a welcome relief considering the song and dance BJ puts on to avoid committing to an opinion. People in Wales have, for the most part, listened to their leader and put faith in him because of this, despite the frustrations felt because of any restrictions imposed - this most definitely cannot be said for the UK government…I would say out of the two leaders, Drakeford is not the one who is irrelevant. Anyway, gutted it was called off as this would be a lovely quick trip for me, but hey-ho, COVID times call for COVID measures, I’ll just have to cheer on the boys from the comfort of my sofa!
So going from a position of 'too much' choice at fullback, it's now going to have to be Valery at RB and Perraud at LB as they are our only fit and available options
That’s a shame for Small as I thought he might get a start, especially as Ralph recently said he was now fit enough for a 90 minute game, and was regularly training with the first team squad.
Hold up - 3 covid cases and 2 injuries (plus a third in McCarthy). Grounds for us calling off the Brentford match surely ?!?!?
