My daughter helped deliver a lamb on a trip to a Welsh farm when she was 5, still talks about how great it was now. One girl about 12 was asked if she'd like to help deliver one, her face lit up only for her mom to interject and say, ooh no I don't think so not sure it's the right thing for her, or words to that effect, the disappointment on that girls face was awful to see, no amount of trying by the farmers wife changed her mind, ****ing bitch of a woman.

I didn't hear it but someone said they over heard her mom say to the girl, she didn't want her to get any mess on her clothes, it was strange, it was something we did for about 4 years, it was a group thing on a RSPB linked farm, obviously a big working farm , so folk dressed accordingly, wellies etc, they came in regular clothes, think they must have booked it spur of the moment without knowing what was involved, the RSPB shop where bookings were taken, is in a weekend tourist location.
We were told of the possible but very small chance of infections, as soon as the lambs were delivered, the kids washed up and used anti bacteria wash, they advised pregnant women not to get down and messy.

That is fcking class I remember reading years ago they'd tried to create jetpacks that worked after an old James Bond film but had almost given up on the idea. Clearly they didn't give up. I want one!
Yeah they've been around for a few years now I think. The first one I saw in public display was for Macron, but I've even seen them for demonstration purposes on Mountain rescue, along with for fun on a display at a beach resort.
Just watching that, it seems the key difference from before is the use of the jets on each arm in addition to the one on the back. Or is it instead of the one on the back, with that just being a massive gas cannister? I've gone back and forth on that video to figure it out but not sure. It probably is jets on both, but the arm ones seem to be the important addition in making it work so effectively. The one where the bloke lifts off the boat with his back to the ship and then turns and flies off is the best one. Stuff of movies that

Love it. Absolutely brilliant. That's the best video I've seen on here. You get to see it all there. And I was wondering about the possibility of using it for transport and he answered that. If he can develop an electric version I think it has a long-term future for mass production. But tbh I think that's going to be a far greater challenge for him than what he's gone through so far.
