Annoyed.. got bombarded with texts yesterday off my city supporting mates. Think this result has been brewing as we just havent looked very good the last few games... I have not read a match report seen any highlights, turned the news off when it was shown...
I watched the game and also MOTD. I missed the moment that Rio gave away the corner trying to pass back to De Gea and only saw it on MOTD. Not being funny, but that was quite incredible for such an experienced player. That kind of summed your day up in my opinion. Chin up though lads, this may of been the kick up the arse you needed. I see Everton getting battered to be honest.
This. To be honest, from the point of view of the PL, I'd rather a 6-1 hammering than a 1-0 or 2-1 loss where SAF or the players can claim we were robbed or City were lucky. It hurts more, but it will get us focused for the next game. Just look at last season - SAF claimed we were robbed at SB but we then went and got hammered at Anfield thus dropping more points. There's no hiding from the scale of the challenge now, and it's when we're being written off by all and sundry that we usually come good
I still think that City will go through a bad patch and I still don't rate Mancini. Nothing has changed imo.
I suppose the best way of looking at it is that City could beat you 25-0 at your other stadium (the 'Etihad') but it'd still only be 3 points; the same 3 points you could pick up by beating Wigan. I don't associate United with drawing as many games in a season as City. You usually nick a game at the end (e.g vs West Ham and Blackpool last season.) So whilst I can see you losing more than City over the stretch of the season, I see them drawing more than you, and that could well be their downfall (see Liverpool 08-09.)
yawn ... stretch .... jese mooday morning eh!? where ddid the weekend go? didn't United and city play yesterday? what was the score, i haven't heard anything on the tele, on here, or in the papers. What's that you say? United lost 1-6 to city? no? you're not kidding? get the funk outta of 'ere! ... you're all stoned!
I'm fine and dandy thank you. Looking forward to the pints I'll be claiming from disgruntled mance over the course of the week . I started late, so I've got some catching up to do
Aside from the fact that City are miles better than us in the very crucial centre midfield department something else has come to light this weekend. That is that for some mystifying reason Newcastle fans are obsessed with us. Anyone got the foggiest idea why? Aside from green eyed envy of course.
