Barbosa - Neither a striker - not prolific enough, or a winger - not creative enough, plays best as a support striker. Very one footed (left), not very good in the air, was bullied by Italian Centre Half's and there's a question mark over his mentality. In Brazil he is a big fish and gets smoke blown up his arse by the media which he seems to thrive off and crave. Alvarez - Absolute beast of a raw talent, River Plate love him and want him to stay. However he is still very young and will be very inexperienced in Europe. He seems to be the one this guy thought was the best but top clubs througout Europe want him and his agent is over touting out his services this week. Carlos - Is a beast on his day but is as mad as a box of mad frogs and has a clanger in him and these have been more often in big games.
I was keen on him to see what he'd be like here but after I seen this guy (Tim Vickery) speak about him I'd prefer the Alvarez option.
Not sure, his record outside of Brazil isn't great, I just prefer some of the other names mentioned We could sign him and he could turn out class though, I know nothing about him just a hunch
I think with Trippier being signed, agents have gone into ****ing meltdown, hence so many names getting thrown around all in the name of money. Some are clearly wide of the mark, particularly those whose stock has plummeted like that Barbosa lad. We also won't be first in line to sign a South American hopeful this month. Summer, sure, but we've a lot to do first. We need clear class right now. I imagine the links to Digne, Vlahovic, Botman, Carlos, Ramsay are real, plus a few we haven't seen splashed across Twitter.
