It's all just media reports at the minute, but if any of them are having doubts about coming then I hope Eddie is given the chance to sit down and talk to them before any decisions are finalised so that he can judge whether they are going to buy into the fight we have ahead of us this season.

I couldn't agree with those who think womens football is ****e. Indeed in many ways they put the mens game to shame. I have rarely seen a pro women footballer roll around on the floor like they'd been shot. Technically they are rapidly catching the mens game at an incredible rate. The recent FA Cup Final was a sight to behold with Chelsea playing some great football. There were some absolutely massive tackles and collisions too. The little skinny wing back for Chelsea Erin Cuthbert got absolutely poll axed while clearing a ball. She just got up, not a word said, and carried on. It was great to watch. A man would have stayed down, called on the physio, gone off to the side for treatment, chucked his arms about, screamed at the ref and so on. Male footballers are pathetic generally. The Aussie lass Sam Kerr produced a stunning deft finish too. Physically in terms of pace and power, they are still some way behind their male counterparts for all that is improving all the time. However why we need to try and dupe people by classing it all just football in some woke lefty bullshit I'm not sure. I'm ****ing sick of that bunch of dickheads. They are ruining the world trying to dictate what is acceptable, what people should have to do, running around being offended by everything. They just need to **** off and get on with living THEIR life instead of trying to make life one size fits all. Of course we then have the trans issue...tricky times

Work in the women's game and agree. It's part of the new modern culture of everything has to be equal or it's "not fair"! I'd rather there was a dedicated women's section than, as you say, get sucked in by some misleading headline - pisses you off and makes you resent it! It's different game though, in part due to it not being as well funded as the men's game for the last 20 years (and pretty much non existent before this) so the finances, training facilities, the technical ability, fan interaction, involvement from young girls playing regularly isn't or hasn't been there. It is markedly more popular since the Lionesses started doing well at international competitions but it's about 30-40 years behind the men's game in all facets and it'll never catch up but you'll see a women on astronomical sums of money a week and huge payouts for winning trophies in the next 20 years as it grows in popularity and maybe the women's MOTD will be on at an earlier time than the men's (believe it's currently on after midnight so young girls - the future of the game - will never see it unless they trawl through BBC-IPlayer - something my lot complain about tbh). The other problem for the women's game is that as it grows in popularity the men's game will grow at a similar pace as the girls who do get involved will also (in the main) support a/the same men's team alongside a women's team where as young lads will stick to supporting the men's team (again in the main) so will only boost the men's game at a similar level and doubt it will ever be "equal" in terms of viewing numbers or finances available. Then you have the physical aspect of it and as everyone quite rightly says - there's a reason the Olympics split men and women - nothing to do with misogamy and more biology....
Women's football is womens football and they're just trying to say here we deserve big money too. Wrong because its not a real job
They day they invent naked womens football is the day I may watch it and pay it a bit more attention.
