So some love to come back with the lazy ‘antivaxxer’ or Karen off Facebook comments - you know who you are - but when I point people to official U.K. and US adverse reaction sites no one wants to delve into those, much easier to use the well worn aforementioned defence mechanisms. Lost the argument? I don’t come on here to argue with anyone, I don’t have time for that ****e. We’ll probably never agree on this subject, or even meet somewhere in the middle, so let’s just leave it there.
Is there any long term research data to prove the vaccine injuries? As I understand it the anti-vaxxers dispute the valid research that produced the vaccines so I presume they have valid, long term, data to back their claims. Any links. On a positive note we’ve just secured a sizeable grant for further research that I’m looking forward to putting before the facebook judges.
I think it'd be also worth looking in to how the data that informs the decisions and models is gathered, before anyone should 'trust the data'. I'm immediately suspicious of anyone that says 'trust the science' as that betrays their understanding in three words.
Having scanned the COVID-19 mRNA Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine analysis print, I have not analysed it and quite frankly I will not bother. My reasoning is simple. Virtually every known symptom or effect has been attributed to the vaccine. All 110 pages of them. And whilst I do not dismiss the data, it does need to be seen in the broader context. I actually found it very alarming just how many people had died ... 439, yes 439, from taking asprin! 581 from paracetamol!!! 174 people died from taking a contraceptive pill, in fact 26 men reported side effects as well some women over 65. Now this isn't me dismissing the issues you have kindly raised, it is simply me expressing the view that sometimes it is better to leave the research behind and accept the consensus.
The yellow card system (can't remember what it's really called) is useful to a point - going and open up the contraindications label with your paracetamol /ibruprophen /medication to save your life and there is a long list, which most people either ignore or take on a balance of probability. It can be very useful for certain groups of patients, though can also throw up 'red herring' e.g. headaches has been reported as a side effect of some... headache medications, as it has been reported as a 'side effect'. We all make the best informed choices we can
Ok. Let's delve shall we? The yellow card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/the-yellow-card-scheme/ Reported cases. Not confirmed. Anyone can submit them, including people who may or may not have an agenda. This is not accurate data. Its something worth keeping an eye on, in case it is flagging up issues, but nothing on that video is a confirmed side effect case of the vaccine. It could be a bad arm from sleeping funny.
To Oct 4th 2021 - Number of deaths in the UK that involved the vaccine (meaning the vaccine contributed to the death), or had the vaccine as the underlying cause (meaning the vaccine initiated the chain of events directly leading to the death): England - 4 Scotland - 4 Wales - 0 NI - 1 Number of COVID deaths in the UK to date: England - 130,000 Scotland - 9.872 Wales - 6,599 NI - 2.998 Estimated number of UK deaths prevented by vaccines (PHE Aug 20th 2021) - 105,900.
Italy has just announced mandatory vaccinations for all residents older than 50 and vaccine passports will now be required to enter shops, banks and hairdressers/barbers.
Don’t agree with mandatory jabs but denial of entry into indoor shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, sports events etc for those that choose not to be vaccinated I back fully.
Given they can enforce very little, especially in the south, it sounds more like gesture politics than anything meaningful. It hardly works where they apply it here.
