Actually you’re right. No one else apart from me can have bought my seat in the priority phase, then no one at all can have after that. Well spotted
Ah..........just thought of summat else; You know that guy in the suit that hangs around the bottom with the chief steward - I bet he'll have an ipad or something linked to the ticket office, and if they see a person sat in what should be an empty seat, then expect the hi-viz to come steaming in. It's so far fetched it could never happen - could it?
This is true. I wasn't sure if I could make the game at the time so I waited. When I found that I could go I wasn't able to buy my own seat. The option for E2 E3 wasn't available. E8 will do for one game I suppose.
Not trying to whoosh, just wouldn't bank on a steward being helpful / understanding... Or they might ask to see your 'ticket' not pass as its a cup game, you never know
I'm sure I remember seeing that if you bought your own seat, your membership card acted as your ticket for the cup game, so you don't have a separate ticket at all.
I could well be wrong, and usually am, but I doubt it, as your pass doesn't apply to cup games, and they could well have already allocated it to someone else. I suspect the steward would want to see your actual match ticket.
See, I said I was usually wrong. If you didn't buy your normal seat though, presumably it becomes available to someone else, so getting past the stewards would be academic, as there's liable to someone else sat there anyway. Or am I wrong again?
That theoretically would be true, but if you're in E1-E3, it's never been made available to buy for anyone else for this game.
I don't see any way they can realistically check people going into E1-E3 for this one, some will have tickets and others will have passes, unless they have the facility to scan passes?
Won't everyone in these blocks just have it loaded onto their cards, seeing as everyone must be a pass holder? (can't remember if they automatically loaded it onto your card, or if there was an option to have a ticket)
When we've had friends who are non E3 want to join us we all go through to our seats leaving said mate on the concourse. After 5 minutes or so someone goes back to the concourse with an extra pass and gives it to the friend and they use it to get by and joins everyone else. There's always space as they dont sell tickets there anymore. We've done this twice already with no issue.
The recent statement from HCST following their meeting with the club about the E1-E3 situation mentioned that the club have now started selling tickets in there again. Is there any truth in this at all? I'm not aware of anything having changed, but I don't understand how the trust could've got that wrong. https://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/east-stand-issues-meeting-feedback/
You still can't buy them online as E2 & E3 are blanked out on the 'select your seat' option - this is still the case for the Stoke & Blackburn games currently available. Not sure if it would be any different if you rang up and asked for a seat in these blocks
