I suspect its more a case of Baz being told to bat away all enquiries, by the prospective new owners, in exchange for exclusive interviews
That's what people said over a month ago when Baz said it wasn't all done, and turned out he wasn't just batting things away but was telling the truth.
Wtf!! I doubt Baz's choice of words was that bad that he unintentionally implied the deal still isn't done. Plus I thought the old man was taking the lead? So is it just waiting efl green light or not? The comment suggests not. It was supposed to be going to them just before Xmas (ignoring the comment from Baz several weeks earlier saying it was on the verge of going to them), then it was last week, then this Tuesday. What the hell is really going on?
I don't have a sense that the club is marketing this match as hard as the Chelsea one either. Which is entirely understandable in the current circumstances, Covid and ownership. EDIT - sorry, I see you mention this in subequent posts.
Well when it was annouced that the paperwork wouid be submited Monday to the EFL and approved 48 hours late I was totally surprised that it would be just 48 hours. Others had indicated that the approval process was significant process not just a rubber stamp process. Can we assume that all the necessary checking had been done earlier and that the deal had previously been given the green light. Hope so but maybe not?????
Well I see that the Hull Daily Mail are reporting live on injuries the lead up to the Everton game and the takeover. This is unusual the game is not till Saturday. Maybe Baz has got wiff of something going on. Hope so. Forget that seems he is going to do it throughout Janaury-new feature.
