I’m not sure the announcement will lead to the huge flurry everyone expects. I think post Allams we’ll only add a couple of thousand on the gates.
We had a virtual sell out against Chelsea just under 2 years ago, not sure that many have dropped off since then.
there's only the east stand which is close to selling out so far,not exactly a capacity crowd if its potentially acun first game as owner
We said it ourselves when the game was announced. It's on T.V,we're still in the midst of a pandemic and the new owner hasn't been formally 'sworn in' yet. I reckon if it's announced tomorrow you'd get another 1000 or so stragglers?
Shouldn't matter if you're going to see your local team. Point is there's still an appetite to sell out the MKM, it's just about actually motivating people to do it. Even getting 15-18k should be doable even with the pandemic.
Every game since mid Nov has been the first game with new owners, maybe after so many false dawns people are waiting for the official announcement.
There'll probably be those kind of numbers... Some people don't support their local team,Everton aren't entirely fashionable at present and some of the older supporters aren't prepared to take a chance in amongst large numbers at present, that's understandable.
