I reckon Everton would accept that offer but from Keith Downies tweet it seems Digne doesn’t fancy us.
If true then move on to someone who does. The last thing we need in our position is players not 100% committed to the fight this season
Read earlier he said no way, so unless it's media talking **** we can rule it out. Surely they ask the agent 1st to see if there's a chance?
Here's an interesting one. The private jet that brought in Trippier made a number of stops. 1 in Rome, 1 in Lisbon then Madrid then the toon.
Seems strange to put an offer together if the agent has made the club aware he doesn't want the move. Right?
Yes that's what I was thinking.. I don't know what the legal process is though. Can they speak with the agent before placing a bid?? I honestly gave no idea what the correct process is
Agents will speak to prospective clubs to garner interest. He will inform the clubs showing an interest what the players demands and his demands will be. The clubs then need to agree a fee before the club can begin "negotiating". If the club were to contact the player before a fee is agreed then that would be tapping up.
My guess would be Ramsay from Juve (Rome) Nunez from Benfica or Diaz from Porto (Lisbon). Or the fact its a private jet that's for hire may be the real reason
I personally would have thought the club would approach Everton to ask his availability, and possible price tag ect, which is where the Longstaff bit comes in, which would maybe then pass onto the agent to make them aware of the interest, then i would think that if he said no chance Everton or his agent would make the 2 clubs aware to prevent work being done on a deal that he has no interest in following onto. only speculating from my part
That's what they do mate. It's all about the agents. This is where the press and other fans aren't getting. If the Agent wants a move the player will move. Agents will be offering their daughters to NUFC at the minute looking to garner favour for the money we could potentially throw their way in the years to come.
We'll see but it's kinda strange to just throw Longstaff in the mud publicly if they aren't confident
Rafa wants him and has been linked with making a move this window. In theory £22.5 plus Longstaff is going to blow most other offers away. Everton are ****ed on FFP this helps that plus gets them one of their targets. It's an interesting one.
