Lovely stuff from Gil - on his favoured left flank! - but we can’t stick it away.

Azpilicueta is a horrible little ****. But he's just the sort of player we need.

Is it too late to ask for this game to be postponed?

Could have been worse and I suppose it has told Conte even more about the need for new - improved - blood.

Really, really, really not very good.

We've got so few players who are anywhere near the right level that we'll be picking up injuries in the next month by overplaying them...again.

    Oh well...

2-0 FT. Awful. Better second half, but it was still pretty ****.
Conte got it all wrong from the start and there were a number of diabolical individual performances.
    Chelsea are ****s. <ok>

That first 45 minutes was truly awful and while we improved in the second half, Tanganga and Højbjerg put in two of the worst individual performances I can remember for a while. Nobody can really hold their heads up though. Tanguy did **** all for 45 minutes after coming on, though the change of shape helped us stabilise a bit.

The tie isn’t over and maybe we can take solace in the fact that as awful as we were in the first half, they only scored because of individual errors. Overall though to put such an insipid performance in, during a cup game against a rival, is difficult to forgive or understand. Without any LWBs and our two best defenders this was always going to be a tricky game but we sure did make it hard for ourselves.

Much better second half. Not where we want to be in terms of performance level still but away from home against a side that spends £200mill a year more than us every year, and in their biggest derby, it's never gonna be easy.

That was what I expected, totally crap but how much was the forward line they put out and they won by 2 own goals

I’m giving our MOTM to Gil for simply creating the only dangerous chance of the match.

Truly awful performance, from players and staff. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Only glimmer for us fans is that forces the hierarchy to spend some dough… doubtful, I know.

Looked like Chelsea only scored two of their many chances, out of respect for Conte.

    Havertz - £70m-ish, Lukaku - £97.5m, Ziyech - €40m, Pulisic - £58m, Werner - £47.5m.
