Need to hold onto the ball a bit and see out the half. Passes going missing all over the shop because we’ve barely touched the ball. If we keep trying to go direct it’s probably not going to magically start working
That’s the thing, if it was a one off then you would deal with it. But every time we get a sniff we bottle it. And this performance is just woeful. I don’t necessarily blame Conte as it’s inbuilt in the club.
The reality is that we just don’t have many good players. We’re limited on who we can put in the XI to field a competitive team. Hence why we keep seeing the same players over and over. When we play someone very good, we’re exposed for how average we are. Forget the mistakes, the rest of our performance with and without the ball has been poor as well. Genuine quality reinforcements needed this month, and quickly.
The fact they have Jorginho and Saul compared to hojberg and Skipp is a pretty good indicator of how much more quality they have than us
He's hardly putting himself about to try and unsettle their defenders. He's playing like a man looking to get to the transfer window unscathed.
Yeah I agree with you. What’s he supposed to do when your midfield lack control and no-one is getting the ball into him? Same with Son, who’s been relatively quiet as well. They need service/chances and haven’t had any.
Well if that’s the case, Son and Lucas must have handed in transfer requests and Tanganga’s already agreed a pre-contract elsewhere.
