Let’s see the F.A. asking for proof it’s Covid cos the cheating scum are capable of owt. Injuries shouldn’t ever come into it.
Are they asking any team for this. Are the EFL? It is an absolute shambles, and just another example of incompetent, highly paid placemen being unable to do the most basic things right. On another note, these clubs might think it's clever getting games off because they basically don't want to play them. But it is another factor to lower the next rights bids. Why would you fork out so much when teams are openly complaining about having to do the thing that brings in all the money?
They'll be sending their players out into the Pigg Market tonight to mix with the great unwashed and ensure a few positive results..........most of them for covid
We'll see, but it looks like those scientists who said that the variants would get very much more transmissible but less damaging were right. But there are a lot of people who love the idea of imposing restrictions, many of whom are unelected and currently have influence beyond their wildest dreams. If some were listened to, nothing would ever have changed, we would never have opened the country up, and all the immeasurable damage caused by isolation would continue. We have been at the point of living with this since early July. We should be keeping on doing just that
If a match is called off, can players currently inneligible to play, be selected in the rearranged fixture? Thinking about suspended players and those signed in January. In theory, could the mags field a side entirely made up of new signings against Southampton?
I personally think if any players are signed in January then they cannot play in matches that were called off because of covid and rearranged
That's a bit radical Milton, it would have the authorities scratching their heads over that idea, bet my mortgage it hasn't even been on their radar, but I like it.
posted the same thing before, only those eligible at the time should be allowed to play...meaning injuries (at the time of postponement) and new signings can not be included for both teams, those now recovered can play. this would stop clubs from using covid and a couple of 'surprise calf injuries' to get games called off until in a stronger position.
I 100% think it's being used as a way to put off a few matches when teams have a few injuries. Are they doing pcr tests or lateral flow. Do they need the result confirming by an independent source? Is there even a number of players that need to have covid or can you just say you know what we can't fulfill the fixture sorry? I think it is down to the club to decide so they are using one or two with covid added to current injury list and calling it off. Should be a minimum of 5 players who have been in the squad for 70% of the games so far, anything less treat as normal injuries or sickness. Also agree they shouldn't be allowed to field anyone who is injured or not yet at the club in the re-arranged fixture. But all of that would require far too much work for those in charge!
Klopp gets his break he cries about every year? Bless them they have a tiny squad to choose from and if they lose a first team player the backup is really poor . Sean Dyche said in an interview recently about Klopp asking for 5 subs something along the lines of yes we were one of the clubs that knocked it back because we don't have world class players to sub on for world class players why would we vote to give the top clubs even more of an advantage but is he was manager of Liverpool he would be voting for 7 subs as the quality is there. Surely they could meet their Fixture commitments with squad their size and quality?
The whole thing stinks. The EFL asked Boro to recall their loan players to fill the gaps, if that is what needs to happen then surely the Liverpool's and Chelsea's can recall a few of the many many players they have out on loan.
The league are terrified if them aren't they. Don't want to upset the bread winners, there are a handful of clubs the channels over here want live and wouldn't bother with anyone else unless playing them club. But they are a bit if a show of it and have 'other' fixtures now and again. Abroad where the big money comes from only want them clubs and are paying for them and won't pretend otherwise. Let's not forget they were all ****ing off to their own league a few months ago, did anything happen over that punishment wise?
