I’d also heard that the initial hold up was due to Acun securing a £10million loan for the second half of the payment due at the end of the season. if this is the case then I’m not sure where all the money is coming from for our January/Summer spending spree?? Hoping my ITK info was rubbish.
All fine until that last sentence. What do you mean 'hence all of the words abut gifts'? Why / how does any of the rest you've posted (and which I believe is all true) lead to 'the words about gifts'?
This bit isn't entirely correct, much of it was football debt, so under FA rules would still have had to be paid even in administration.
Yes, I know. But then you opened up a topic then said "No point in opening up that old can of worms again". Odd!
Assem Allam had no interest at all in football. That is the relevance . He wanted to own the stadium and all of the land around it, plus the training ground and the lease on the stadium would have been affected by Administration. A new lease would have been put in place and this meant that there was no advantage to him as he saw it unless he bought the club. His early statements included handing the club to the supporters. There were two distinct lines that he followed. The first in the very early day was that he would give the football side over to supporters and then that changed to “The gift of football”.
The only thing odd about it is you trying to make something of it. Because you are trying to re open that exact can of worms again. But you do have form.
Children... Stop playing with worms, it's cruel. Put the lid back on the tin and find something else to play with
Yep, I knew his interest was only related to land & development (and if it's true, also to protect his existing interest), and I now get where you were coming from with your comment about the gift. Ta. As we know, lies and BS from day one (Allams not you ). Thankfully they really will be gone within 24 hours.
Those who check this thread at the end of the day are going to be gutted to find the additional 10 pages were mainly due to a game of tig.
