To be fair mate, he wasn't great at the basics last season either. His goals made the headlines but his general play was overlooked as a result of this. I have noticed that this season ASM isn't hitting the byline and dragging the ball back to the edge of the box, which is where Willock seemed to thrive last year.

Amazing for half a season when he arrived, then dogshit thereafter.

I'm gonna call him Papiss Willock.

    He was **** mate.
Overpriced when we bought him as well as over rated.
I'd have Shola or Ferrerya over him.

    Bollox

He cost £6m and scored almost 20 goals for a relegated team

Cort was unknown for me. He did look a bit gash. But without giving him time to settle due to injuries its hard to say. He was only bit part when he arrived too.

My favourite memory of Carl Cort doesn't actually involve him. Its when the reporter asked Shola if Bobby had any nicknames for him, what did he call him? Shola replied "Carl Cort" <laugh> In modern times Bobby would be branded a racist of course :emoticon-0138-think

I'm with DPP he was a good player and I believe scored twice in his debut and suffered what was a career destroying injury in the same game or some **** like that.

He played his debut and then got hammy problems. Had surgery and returned in the March/April time. I think he actually did ok at the end of that season. I seem to recall a few goals. Then I think he started next season but got ankle problems then a serious cruciate injury. Went to America etc. But he wasn't the same. He played another 10 years though but it wasn't like Shearer who bounced back (for all he had half decent spell at Wolves before more injuries). I think it would be unfair to judge him either way but he was certainly no world beater. He was certainly not a mug on arrival either though. He was one I think Bobby felt could be developed like he hoped with Dyer, Jenas, Bramble and so on.
