I've seen a reasonable account of what happened and I believe it to be true: Nigeria were late which gave Watford the chance to decline, there was a 3 way convo with Watford, Dennis and Nigerian management and Dennis was given the option and he chose to stay here. I feel Watford are doing a good job at protecting him and at the same time helping themselves. There is plenty of history between Dennis and Nigeria over the years and it appears none of it good.

Fair enough I guess . But surely they don’t need to rely on someone who is half fit and certainly lacking match fitness ? It’s not like he just has a little niggle or injury they can be sure Sarr will recover from . I understand they are only hoping to use him for the knockout stages at best which says it all .
Surely if he joins them, but under instructions from Watford does not to train, then the club have done what they must. It then would depend on Senegal deciding if they wanted to pay all his costs for nothing.

I guess he is in some sort of training but the 2 parties think he is at different levels of fitness . Senegal might be more prepared to take a risk on Sarr for 3 games .
