Apparently so, I think it was Nixon or someone who said he was halfway down the motorway and we turned him back and went for Cirkin.
Pretty ruthless which is far away from how we have operated in the past! Also quite impressive that we were going for this lad and Cirkin at the same time with one of them clearly first choice and the other being a backup if the other didn't come off, we usually go for a backup last minute after weeks if trying tonget 1st choice.
I like the plan they have got in place, hopefully this Hume lad gets done as we could do with another RB in
I am just pleased they have a plan! All joking aside it is quite clear why their plan in theory should work, buy young players hungry to break into 1st team but not going to get the chance at their premier league clubs or players who have had a bit if a slump and need the chance to reset and go again. We are seeing a bit of success with some of the signing now, long may it continue.
Young with loads of potential. Coach him, play him, let him develop. Ideally he grows with us but for the reported £200k or so its another one that should make us a tidy profit as well. Class to see us going for players in demand that can develop instead of ageing ****e nobody really wants. A marked improvement in recruitment.
Hume nearly done looks like 31/2 year deal Him and Roberts should hopefully both be done to be in the squad for Saturday
