    No, not City's.

Anybody else watched that Chelsea/Liverpool game yesterday?

Breathtaking skills and committment - best game of fooball I've watched this century. Liverpool were good and resilient, but Chelsea's "Special K" pairing in the middle of the park were amazing - just how good are Kante and Kovacic?

Fantastic entertainment - when you get something like that available to watch, it even dulls the pain of the Sky subscriptions.

Spurs/Saltypool was very similar although the end to end stuff was the whole game. I listened yesterday while driving back from Poole (Mrs. BfB not impressed) and it seemed to tail off a bit second half, although it would have been tough to maintain the standards of the first half.

Newcastle/Man U was also a great game but for different reasons. I would love to have seen the Geordies beat the Mancs.

Generally very good televised games over Christmas/New Year.

A number of Prem sides already bleating about losing players to the African Cup of Nations. Surely they signed African players knowing this could happen, Covid or not?

No goals second half Bluey, but the football was just as good - in fact brilliant stuff particularly from Chelsea but Liverpool held out.

Sky pundits and commentators were blown away by the game. Tyler and Neville commentating, Souness, Hasslebaink and Carragher after the game all thought the same.

The only unfortunate thing was they both just got a point from it and allowed "boring" Citeh some more clear water out in front. I'd love to see Citeh have a few setbacks over the next few weeks to bring it back into a 3 way battle for the title over the run in.

Liverpool and Klopps antics paid off.

They should have been down to 10 after 5 mins.

If you watched the game, they should have been down 10 after just 6 seconds.

Mane's forearm smash in Azpilicueta face from the kick off after 6 seconds was a clear red not yellow.

Be interesting to hear Klopp talking about protecting players like he normally does when one of his are fouled...
Laughable that Henderson was standing up for him, saying he was disappointed he even got a yellow for it...

It always seems the longer managers are in post the more whiney they become.
Was refreshing to hear Morison say he thought the Baggies shout late yesterday was a stone wall pen.

Kovacic’s was one of those that go in or in row Z.
No for me Lanzini’s v Palace and Ing’s v Brentford way ahead of Kovacic’s goal.

Not talking about the Kovacic goal - talking about the game which was easily the best I've watched for a long time. The Brentford/WHU game wasn't a patch on that one yesterday.

The Kovacic volley could have gone anywhere, but agree that Lanzini's goal for the Spammers was real class - quick feet and a superb finish with his left foot.

Apologies I misread game for goal<doh>

There have been quite a few really high quality and enjoyable games on tv this season and yesterday’s was up there with them.

Makes hell of a difference having the crowds back too. Dreading Preston on Sunday, will feel like a parks game!

Will probably be played like one. A few of us ex-Cardiff Parks players could be useful.

Early finish at the Marl (right spelling?) if the tide was coming in.

Used to play rugby against a team in Hanham in Bristol. Kick off would occasionally be changed in wet weather depending on tide times. High tide often saw a flooded pitch.
Best piccy I saw was in the mid 90s when a guy was canoeing between the posts, OVER the cross bar.

It was incredible to see the difference the tide could make.

    No smoking involved.
Some huge floods back in the 90s and it was right on the river.
