I had that problem in an old flat. Ended up putting more ventilation in the bathroom where the moisture in the air was coming from and it stopped the condensation on the bedroom outer facing wall.

That was after spending about 3 grand trying to sort the cavity damp proofing out with no effect.

Does he drive a van with three letters on the side and comes across as a jack the lad?
If yes, he's well known and tries to pressure people into accepting a quote.

No, he was quite the opposite actually , laid back . Bit pissed off now though I’ve realised exactly how much of his charge is labour , at first I assumed the unit was dead expensive . I appreciate you pay for skills and knowledge but he’s charging 200 quid an hour for what basically sounds like a slightly advanced diy project , I know gas fitters and skilled mechanical engineers not charging anywhere near that

Good luck fella. I've got something similar in my roof, as vents, I don't know who put them in, as they were in when I bought the gaff, though I reside in a bungie.

Have you got an old chimney breast in your bedroom dj?
Could be a problem from that too

Well you clearly know how to create dampness. Drying washing inside adds more moisture to the air and reduces effective heat output from rads. So you need at least 2 fans and a dryer fitted with external vent.

We had these fitted £90 each, though the guy said pre Covid they were about £70.

He suggested 6, another neighbour who had the same problem had the same issue.
Modernish house, thick none breathable membrane betwee tiles
and roof timbers etc. In winter when heating on the loft was that damp it was like having a water leak - indeed when a neighbour with the same house design went up one Xmas he thought that's what had happened....
Since fitting has pretty much eliminated the problem

HEAT Insulation on Crowle Street. :emoticon-0100-smile
Edit, sorry didn't read that properly, we used HEAT in another house we had, and they did a decent job.
