- Only top 4 (City, Utd, Mags & Chelsea) have a better goal difference. - Not been beaten by more than one goal in any match - Bentdner looks to be a great piece of business - No serious Injuries to date - No Straigt Red Cards - A win on Sat puts us on the same points after 10 games last year. Let's get off Brucey's back, and support the whole team. He is here to stay
After bringing in so many new faces in the close season it was always going to take some time to find his best 11 and it was inevitable that he would shuffel his pack a few times. But like you say a decent goal difference, never lost by more than 1 goal, we are not far away from a decent side. It's time now to get behind the team, accept the fact that Bruce is here to stay ( at least until January) and lets see what a united front can bring.
"A win on Sat puts us on the same points after 10 games last year." That's surprised me given that looking back last season was all honey and roses up till January.
We are stuck with him more like it. I 100% want rid of him still and that's going to take some changing. His attack on fans who are genuinely concerned about a sorry 9 months of utter garbage was the point of no return for me. That he is now kissing ass because someone in the PR dept has had a word is sickening. Then there is the derby games. His final and worst **** ups. His open love of his boyhood club and our bitter local rivals has effected his decision making for these games and 3 attempts and 3 humiliating failures tells me where his heart is and its not with SAFC, despite his pathetic attempts to con us otherwise. Bruce out 100% for me. I just don't want him.
5 wins in 23 and "Let's get off Bruce's back"? Why on earth would we do that? Tell me this stuff in two years when he's levelled out two appalling Springs.
That surprises me as well but I do remember and up and down start, we had some good results against top sides (Arsenal, Man City) which I guess made it easier for us fans. Remember we still have to win at the weekend. If the above is true and we do win then the future is looking good because their is no doubt we are 3 players short at the moment and I am sure Bruce will be given good money to buy those players in Jan.
Fair points mate and very positive. 1, Agree defence is doing well so far. 2, Yes again but, beaten we have been doesn't matter if it's by 1 or 10 goals it's still no points. 3, Can't argue with that one proved me wrong, let's hope he gets a hat trick on Saturday. 4, That's the mockers on the team then cue weird hat stand/yacht type incidents involving garden furniture. 5, By far and away the best thing so far and something Bruce seems to have targeted as a weakness (thought Bardo got a straight red though could be wrong) 6, Fair enough. Always support the team mate no matter who is in charge or whether I rate him or not, or where we are in the league or what league we are in, sure that goes for the vast majority on here as well.
I'd say that, as you lot seem to be saying to us all the time, you've had an easy set of fixtures. You still have Spurs and both Manchester's to play, 3 of the best 4 teams in the league.
I'm still not happy with our start, we've played good for around 120 minutes out of a much bigger number, it will come back to haunt us when we lose badly while playing **** and Bruce will be safe because of our seemingly good start. I hope I'm wrong, I really do, but I just can't see it happening.
but look at the team against bolton it looked settled and looked together im looking forward to the season i think bruce has baught well to what else do you ant a team needs to settle like arsenal so he cant beat newcastle its not like its that imprortent (its three points afterall) he has never had open love for them are you seriusly suggesting he choose to lose to newcastle because if you are i know some people who can help you... Attack on fans he was fighting for his job and didnt like the fact the fans were pushing him out and 9 mounths of rubbish most of that was with a skelton squad... back the man dont push him out the club knows if he needs to go
I agree with most of that apart from the Newcastle remark. That game will never just be three points and while it's not the end of the world to lose it is the root of most of the angst towards Bruce IMO.
Ive never been away. Just get sick of all the diatribe and negativity on here so just read for the most part but cant be arsed to get into slanging matches with fellow fans, life is too short, just shake my head and move on for the most part.
