In one way I want to hear what he has to say about today's game, but at the same time I think he'll be his usual, excuse-making, moaning self. :undecided:

Chelsea are 1-0 down at DQPR and down to 9 men, crazy day in the premier league! Row Z Zamora missed a sitter for Fulham as well at 1-1 and they went on to lose 3-1 to Everton.

Waiting for the away team to score stoppage time goals at Old Trafford really is like waiting for buses isn't it.

It was a game of old money against new money, and new money won.

Today signalled the end of the Man Utd dominence.
Its downhill from here for Fergie, he knows it the club now it and the players know it.
Once he's gone the club will lose its identity, sad in a way that one of our countries biggest clubs just won't be big enough.
The days of Man U spending big have gone, Arsenal are in the same boat just leaves Man C and Chelski.
Great to see them get hammered but it'll soon be Man C who everyone gets sick of winning everything - but for now it seems a good thing for everyone.....for now.

If anybody watched the build up play to the Man City opening goal you would have seen Johnny Evans lost the ball after playing a sloppey pass just inside the Man City half them moments later it was 1-0 Man City then Johnny Evans was at it again with the sending off and cost Man U the game.

Dont rate Johnny or Corey one bit, both weak links in both respective sides they play for.

He's a good defender still learning Johnny Evans, a lot of youngsters in that Man Utd squad and now there under the pressure a bit more we'll see how they handle it.
Everyone was going on about how good they were early in the season, lets see what there made of now - you can't hide when your playing at that level.

I don't think Johnny Evans is, or ever will be, a Man United quality player, he makes far too many mistakes.

It's a brilliant result for Man City, but I'm not wishing them well, I'd rather someone who built up a club won the league, rather than some super-rich bloke buying it.

Still, that through ball from Silva was quite possibly the best pass I've ever seen.

I'd rather that happen too. However, because of the monopoly that the Champions League has created, it's impossible these days to build a championship winning team like Forest, Derby, Leeds and Everton did in the 70's and 80's. As a result, we will only get fresh blood challenging if someone does what Chelsea and Man City have done so I welcome it. Without that investment, we'd be watching Man United destroy English football because they happen to be the only top club lucky enough to have a ground that isn't land locked.

I like Man City too. I don't really want to, I want to hate them like I hated Blackburn and Fulham but how can you? How can you not love Mancini, Silva, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko, Hart, Ya Ya Toure, Nasri, etc? Wonderful footballers.

Never rated Micah Richards and in the first 15 minutes yesterday, he showed what an awful defender he can be, but he had a fantastic game after that. As an athlete and an attacking full back, he's magnificent.

If you mean that in an idealistic way, then i completely agree with you and even when we win the Champions League i will still complain that all the team arent born within the city of Hull and we should be aiming for that but....

Man U paid (all an approx guess) 29 million Ferdinand, 25 m Rooney, 15 mill Young, 15mil Jones, 20mill Anderson (well done there) 17mill Nani. The only way a team will break into the top two is to buy their way in.

I can enjoy watching them play and admire their ability, without particularly liking the team, Arsenal are another team that fall into that category.

If I was picking any team I'd like to see win the league, then it would be Spurs, though I'm not entirely sure why. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I'd like to see Newcastle win it. The fans don't deserve it but Mike Ashley is a wonderful club owner who deserves success.

Don't like Harry Redknapp. Look forward to him getting the England job and having his limitations exposed, ala Keegan.

I would like to claim this as my own, but saw it in the Guardian,

"I hope Man Utd are going to refund all of their travelling support, as has become customary after such humiliating defeats?" hehe

Fergie should accept most of the blame. he could have brought Jones on straight away to defend and leave Rooney up top and take off one of his ineffective mid fielders. Ferdinand looked off the pace and when City really got after them, they crumbled. Good to watch and his next premiership team selection will be interesting.!

Was SAF asked why he left out Vidic completely? They were talking on 5Live and saying that he was fit but not even on the bench

United have been too open all season. Chelsea should have murdered them and even Norwich had lots of opportunities at OT the other week.

United in recent years have put Carrick and Fletcher in front of the back 4 and let the front 4 attack at will, which has been a successful formula. He's gone of Carrick though, which is stupid. Instead, he's had combinations of Anderson, Cleverley and Fletcher in midfield which while it's attractive going forward, leaves them ridiculously open at the back.

Lots of people don't appreciate Gareth Barry but he's been superb for City and he and Toure or De Jong give them a superb defensive base while still contributing to attacks. United's central midfield is dire. It's been coming though, every time Scholes looked likely to chuck it people wondered about it.

Man United are definitely looking very weak in central midfield, they look way better when Cleverley is playing, but with him out they lack quality options. Maybe Fergie will do a little shopping in January.

:smiley-finger007: Seem to remember a certain club of some local note giving Manure a bit of a knee trembler on their hallowed turf - now who was it again?

It takes all of my spare cash, energy, spare nervous tension and an abundance of humour to support said team - a bloody fact I don't need another! Espaecially a cosmopolitan bunch of lancastrian surrogates <cheers>
