Absolutely loving this game. It reminds of the days when 2 top heavyweight boxers would get to the last round of a title fight and then just go for it, trying to land the knockout blow.
We just happened to be staying with good friends, himself a big Blues fan, over New Year and saw at first hand the celebration of Citeh's winning goal. I cheekily mentioned that perhaps it ought to be the year when they actually win the European Championship?? After all, I said, simply winning the PL by a country mile doesn't actually 'do it' anymore. Need to move on to something more significant with, how many millions being spent? Drew a small amount of agreement.
I don't necessarily agree with this. Burnley are quite capable of stringing a numer of wins in a row and pulling clear of the bottom three. I can see them putting a run together in the spring and finishing clear of the relegation zone. Bascially, if you finish above Burnley this season, you will not do down. I have to agree about the comments regarding Rafa. I think he will be the next managerial casualty.
Wolves are putting together a truly strange season: First eleven: 11 goals for, 12 goals against. Last seven: 2 goals for, 2 goals against. They don't lack attacking talent, they just...decided that they don't like goals. At either end.
Are they though ? What do you base this on? Previous seasons ? 1 win in 17 does not suggest they are this season Granted I don’t know how close some of their draws have been to potential wins for them I also haven’t looked closely at their fixtures so far to work out how many “winnable” home games they have had
