Further to the match day thread created by CanariesSoccer http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...ariesSoccer-Match-Center-for-Canaries-Red-Sox I would like to say, on behalf of the Not606 Norwich City fans, a massive thank you to you Liverpool fans. I think that was our longest match day thread but more than that, out of 493 posts I can recall only 2 that may have been a considered a little 'provocative'. Considering the emotions that this beautiful games tends to generate between rival fans that can be considered an amazing success. Although we appreciate you felt frustrated as hell at not managing to rack up a hat full of goals (and really you should have), you maintained your dignity and remained very balanced in your post match comments. I think it is probably fair to say you may well have won over one or two of our fans with your outstanding contribution and attitude. Keep it up lads and good luck in your quest for European football
A pleasure mate. We do pride ourselves on our ability to see both sides of the game Thanks, and good to luck to you for the rest of the season too
Thanks ThaiCanary it was a good thread you're lot also took the banter well. Good luck for the rest of the season.
If Mick and Syd need a classic example of how a x-thread can be handled then that was one. The plaudits for that belong to BOTH sets of supporters. For myself, I enjoyed the thread and was more than willing to come on and say so last night even though I was hurting. Good luck for the rest of the season.
You guys have been the best fans we have faced on here so far in the match threads. I like Norwich and what PL has done. From that 7-1 defeat in League 1 a couple years ago to where you now is why we all love football and gives everyone a reason to love a team outside of their own. It's one of those romantic football stories and you did it without a foreign tycoon coming in. Hope you guys are here to stay like Stoke have done.
Brilliant thread and a great example of how two sets of passionate fans can get along. Like Dave said Both sets of fans deserve credit. Thanks for the thanks and many thanks back Good luck for the rest of the season and I'm looking forward to our fans discussing our trip to Norwich
We will be waiting and rubbing our hands together at the prospect. If we continue the way we are now or better our hopes and perhaps expectations might be much higher than they were yesterday. Can't wait for the return game now and to get you guys on the match day thread again
You beat me to it Thai! All I can say is a massive thank you to all of the fans who took part and made the match thread a really enjoyable place to be! It was the best bit of my Saturday (second only to the scoreline)! Hats off to you! OTBC!
To be fair, we did have a couple of decent build-up threads earlier in the season with the likes of Sunderland and Stoke. But we do get a load of ****e from people obviously just looking for a barney so it's good to have a thread going with normal people. Well, normal for norfolk anyway. Sorry, had to get that one in somewhere.
the thread was a credit to both sets of fans and one of best ones i've partisipated in. well one to all and good luck norwich for the rest of the season.
Well, I'm even later (as usual)! Still wanted to add that it was unreservedly the best match thread I've been involved in. All done in good spirit, well done everyone. (...and a special nod to PC, as ever)
I wanted to put something to this affect up on the norwich board but it seems as though i've been beaten to it by you guys. I loved the OP's initial post in that thread (do you threads like that every week??) it made a real difference to the usual match threads. I'm looking forward to when we come down to Carrow Road now as I know it will bring another post as decent as this weeks post to the forum (and hopefully 3 points for us). Norwich fans dont have a great rep on the Liverpool board mainly due to a serial wum but after this thread it's safe to say that our opinion has changed and you're all more then welcome on our forum in future
Hi Bozz Do you threads like that every week?? It is a weekly occurrence and has been on going for a few years on various forums I believe. Some fans appreciate it and others just do not get it. We love it and it good see something a little different Norwich fans dont have a great rep on the Liverpool board mainly due to a serial wum but after this thread it's safe to say that our opinion has changed and you're all more then welcome on our forum in future I think we can guess who that is, best ignored and thanks. I am sure some of us will venture in periodically now we can be made to feel welcome
It would be good to have you guys come over more often. I might even pop over to yours and chat carrots and tractors
