I only half caught it. If I got it right, he sort of dodged the blunt question, and instead said he thought McCann deserves the chance but will know that a couple of losses could see him go and that in his opinion it's too risky to bring in a replacement who hasn't got experience of EFL. So, sounded like it wasn't a done deal that he's gone from day 1 at least. It is a risk but I still think McCann and Byrne are lacking.

I also think it will happen But it’s not just the ratification, which may or may not be a formality, he also said there were unexpected issues which arose from the period of due diligence, which are still not solved. They’re expected to be solved this weekend. I think it will happen, but whichever way you look at it it isn’t yet done
