So far it's 9 points from 3 games from both of you. No one wins the league in august. Let's chat again in Feb and see where teams are. All it takes is a couple of suspensions, injuries and wacky transfers. Just ask Arsene
It is way to early to say as to where the title will go. There are still 35 games to go. There will be players getting suspended and vitial players could sustain long term injuries. The depth of the squads will invariably come into play come January /February.
Of course they have a chance, a very good chance but just like Utd.. However anyone who thinks the title is over because of today is an idiot.
What a prat. Its not even November yet. But then again as a City fan you must be used to your season lasting about 2-3 months.
Personally I would like to see City win the title this year, to be five points behind already could prove too much for moanu. Well done City, I wonder if moanu fans will have anything to say to city fans at work in the morning.
City may be 12 points clear by January. I am not sure how anyone can compare another team to City. It is sad but this will end up a one horse race with the rest battling for second.
City could be 12 points clear by Jan or several points behind. Liverpool could start taking their chances and storm up the table. Anything could happen. But I cannot believe people are writing Man Utd off before the start of November Have you not learnt from writing SAF off before?
I agree to some extent but City can handle injuries, will win when not doing that well, and can buy in January nearly whoever they want. United will have to be at their utter best all season to keep up with them.
Who said City can handle injuries? They will get injuries like others and it remains to be seen how they cope. Their squad is very strong in most areas but what about a top back up for Hart? Apart from Kompany their main CB's are quite weak let alone their reserves. Midfield is strong I grant you but how do you keep all the players happy who are not playing? Finally the forward line is very strong but also contains selfish idiots like Džeko, Tévez and Balotelli who will complain, cry and undermine the manager at every opportunity when it arises. Also you say they will win when not doing well??????? What's that based on? Man Utd have proven that over the seasons that they have won and rescued points when they shouldn't have. But where is the proof that City will do the same? Finally yes City can buy players in the window but so can Utd. Yes Man Utd don't have the endless cash City have but there is more money to spend and while SAF is often not keen to bring in new players in January, I wouldn't rule it out either.
Didn't Newcastle have a 12 point lead (and arguably a superior squad) to us in 95/96? And Arsenal had an eight point lead in March 2003, with effectively the same squad as the invincibles, but we hauled them back in. City are looking immensely strong right now, but I've heard the "one horse race" thing many times before, and it's rarely ever been accurate...
Only stating a fact nobhead. This is not the same old City. They are capable of getting better and better. Just keep your head in the sand and hope they go away.
