never expected that mind, and let's be honest, no one can say we only looked good cos wednesday were bad...they played some decent stuff just we would not let them have the ball for long. that was just a damn good performance and how many times have we fecked up when the chance was there to go top?
We have struck on a starting 11 and formation that really suits us, the lads are playing high tempo, quality football. Long may it continue
What a fantastic performance tonight. Looked ropey for the first 15-20 mins or so but after that we were good for what we got. Well done lads. Have a gold coin.
I saw quite alot of negativity of him on here tbf. He also had a fan shouting abuse at him after a match if you remember
Didn't hear us singing Lee Johnson red n white army but posted it on ere He deserves it though to be fair . And the players were outstanding. I hoped for us to just keep in touch with the top two with injuries but by fook we've surpassed my expectations and more. We look the real deal now. Improving game after game, the confidence is there, come on boys.
Just another thought - 15 goals for the season and still in 2021 for Ross Stewart. Not quite on track for 30 but close enough. Some effort that especially considering all the punditry grief we took for “losing” Wyke
I meant during this run we're having rather than in November but yeah you are right there was some but it's all gone quiet now
I just can't get over how much we destroyed their confidence by the end. This is a team unbeaten since October. They looked deflated as **** by the end and that is credit to the lads. They wouldn't let them settle pulled them all over the pitch when in possession and scored 5. These guys are not at the bottom either.
I wasn't convinced by LJ and his tinkering / substitutions that moved 2 or 3 players about, but hats off to him, he's found a settled 11 and isn't messing about game to game
Superb performance, superb result, superb attendance. Had PCR result back...negative, so off to Keswick on Monday for 4 nights. Time for a few Guinness and couple of single malts while I stare at the league table.
I think it was only there because his management was s hite, you must of missed it, deserves all the praise coming his way now.
Fantastic team display but just want to name check several of the players. Everyone played well but I thought Pritchard, Flanagan and Dajaku were particularly brilliant. Dajaku played some beautiful through balls and bagged himself a couple of assists. Fantastic from start to finish.
Brilliant!! That Juggernaut is going to take some stopping now, lads are brimming with confidence. I keep saying it, we have simply too much attacking talent for this league, add some quality in the window and I can’t see anything other than going up as champions.
Better player than Wyke by far. He had a but of a dry spell recently but he is definitely a goalscorer, despite Wykes return last season is he actually a goalscorer?
That is a shout from the rooftops win that mind. Plenty to go wrong but we got everything right against a good side Keep going lads. Have a rest, though it's looking a real shame Saturday's match is off, though I doubt Fleetwood see it that way!
This week be the first time I think in this league that we won't be playing catch up at the business end of the season. Yes Wigan have games in hand but we've been there thinking no problem and we came up short. This result will have a few teams thinking about us now and confidence will be through the roof. We can have a good window, full these holes that we have with injuries and maybe with one eye on next season really make a statement signing wise
Yeh. I feel bad slagging Wyke off as he gave his all for us and seems a good lad and I think took way too much stick. He was one of few to really apply himself in those years. But Stewart is a much better player. We saw in the period Wyke was able to play this season that his goal tally wouldn’t be replicated. I really hope he gets well soon so he can get playing again (safely)
We are improving now. Better defensively and starting to look much more clinical. Johnson said we would improve and it is starrting to come to fruition. These players who have got us through this injury crisis deserve massive credit. We are getting options on the bench again. We are in a good place now to puck up a couple of high class additions and really set the pace for the league second half. Well done lads, cracking stuff.
