It's already too easy honestly. In my FM22 save, I won CL in the fourth season, with a defense featuring Livramento, Salisu and Small. It's rare that I even have a real Saints player by that point in any of my saves. If Saints keep making smart plays and targeting good young talent before they break out, I might have to start playing as Crewe again...
I remember one of my games having Dexter Blackstock breaking the England goal scoring record whilst I dual managed England and Saints. That included I think four goals in a 5-1 World Cup final win. I think maybe the 2014 World Cup? I can’t remember which save this was A bizarrely long lasting real saints player I usually still have a couple by season 4 but I haven’t played for years. So much of my life went into that game. Too much in hindsight
Tutto Mercato tend to be pretty good in terms of reporting. The fact we're "interested" doesn't mean too much though. Sounds like he has a lot of development still to go, in a Tino type way, so it would make sense to come to us rather than a Liverpool/Chelsea/AC Milan...possibly.
Just seen something saying Man United want 6m from Newcastle to loan Martial just until the end of the season - and the suggestion is Newcastle will pull out as a result If these are the kind of loan fees they want then we can forget any kind of long term Henderson loan However it is simply worded as “cost them 6m”. If that figure also includes 100% of his wages than that isn’t quite as scandalous as assuming it is just his loan fee. But the article itself says loan fee i do remember an MU blog back in the summer complaining about the reporting of their demands for Williams and Tuanzebe and suggesting it was deliberate misreporting and the numbers included the wages. It’s difficult to know the truth here
Yeah, he's not ready to slot in to a top team, but could easily get minutes somewhere that is willing to play kids. In recent years, that virtually guaranteed that he'd be off to Germany, or perhaps Belgium if Dortmund/Leipzig didn't pounce. We really need to be the English version thereof, if we can. Tino was a great start; Pepi would be laying down a marker.
I tend to just let FM run in the background, and then play a game or two here and there. Currently, FM22 shows 361 hours of play time, but I've only actually played four seasons, heh.
Dallas is my local team and I follow them religiously. Pepi has been a huge name in the academy for at least 4 years now (which is saying something considering we sold to Juventus, Roma, and 2 to Bayern in the last 3 years) Ajax and Wolfsburg have been the biggest players in this chase so far but not much has come out lately. I personally would be pretty surprised if he lands here though. He's one of the best forwards in MLS right now at 18, but he's not quite ready for this jump I think. As far as the player though, hes a really hardworking pressing forward and he has a crazy knack for putting it in the back of the net. He's not the most physical and he really needs to work on holding up play more, but everything I've read says the he's an absolutely fantastic kid, a model professional through and through, and he's going to be successful wherever goes with a bit of time. One more side note, if y'all actually do end up buying Pepi, y'all should also look at Jesus Ferreira. He plays as a tricky, hard working 10 or lower striker (almost like Che) and their partnership is an absolute joy to watch. They've also played a few times internationally together as well.
It really seems unlikely that they have anything like the money we would want So as mentioned - unless they have someone we want Also I believe he is on circa 60k a week which seems too high for them. Which suggests they will want us to pay part of his wages as well. Tough to spot a scenario where we accept a reduced fee and a wage contribution But if it is needed to free up wage space for a new attacking midfielder - even a loan like last season …
I don't think the money would be the major problem, he will have just 1 more year on his contract come the summer and we wouldnt want another one going cheap/free. Id say the reason it is unlikely is because it would mean one of our semi regular no.10s would need replacing.
Rumours swirling about us signing keeper Daniel Bentley from Bristol City. He's been their number one all season and is only on the bench tonight.
Ralph is being quoted in the Echo as saying that he “doesn’t think anyone wants to leave”. The echo has implied that transfers would only be on a one out, one in basis.
