The difference going over there now vs the 12k when it got really bad is class. In footballing terms I've seen some pretty grim games with 12 thousand ish people scattered all around a 48 thousand seater. Good times must be around the corner for us!
Great post. I would love it if they are ahead of our expectations! For me my 'expectation' for success is being competitive in the premiere league - I mean like top 8-12. I don't see how we can get further than that without absolutely massive investment. You only have to look at the likes of Leicester to see that you can't get consistently higher, and they have won the league recently. If there really is a down the road plan to have us competing in the top 6, with chance on regular European competition then that really would more than 8 or 9 steps ahead as would be totally unreal
Well i might not get to the match have no drivers licence and a old passport you need them to sign up to the NHS site, and have to wait till tomorrow to find out if i am on the NHS site !, i have just tested negative, told the NHS site my details and wanted a print out to take to the stadium, so will take my blue vaccination cards instead, this is a joke lived in Sunderland all my life as well.
Just a head cold and was hoping to test negative day 6... Nee chance, few saying that the day 6/7 only applies to a few but not publicised... Watching tonight on safcee, should be a great night as I'm not there
Safely inside the ground. There are about 4 or 5 stewards on each bank of turnstiles checking for the covid passes.
Also in with no bother, seems well organised. Get here early and give the steward's a chance to do their job
No first team regulars with COVID, then. Under 23s or some of the injured players must be the new positive cases mentioned this morning.
Looking at that team I think we'll win 1-0 ... ... I'm going for Neil with a jink and shot from 25 yards, top corner. Haway the Lads!!!
