January raid on Chelsea, let's get Drogba and Kalou if we can.

    Drogba

Why not? We need an out and out goalscorer to cover for RVP, and Drogba can easily do just that.

If he doesn't sign a new contract with Chelsea he's gonna play for PSG or something next year anyway, so we could be his final swansong. And why not? In his prime he is one of the best strikers in the world to play as a defender against, and would be great to have in case something happens to RVP, or even to play alongside him (but we would need to move to 4-4-2, something we could probably do).

    Kalou

Decent winger. Sure we have lots of wingers right now but he could replace Arshavin rather well (who I think is going to move to that rich russian club pretty soon). He'll get us a couple of goals, and sure, he might 'HAMPER THE PROGRESS OF OXOCUBE' in arsene's view, but he never plays cube anyway so yeah.

Drogba wouldn't come play for us. We can't pay him enough, and his attitude sucks to high heaven anyway.

Can't see Drogba coming to Arsenal.
Kalou - I like him as a player, but as Jayram has said, we've got enough wingers.
If there's anyone at Chelsea we should be looking at I think it's John Obi Mikel, srtong no nonsense battling MF, with a lot of skill.
He seems to have fallen out of favour at Chelsea.

If you want RVP to play as a second striker wouldnt Drogba be a perfect foil for him? Those two would be deadly on form.

Kalou is utter pap, he has no control and awful technique. I'd rather we played Bendtner instead of him and that is saying something.

Kalou is pap, oh deary deary me, what is wrong with some of you ? Do you not watch the games or do you base your opinions on stats ? Have you not seen the ball bouncing off his knees and stuff ?

As the song rang out about Lee Dixon playing for England years ago by Tottenham fans I'll change the words, "If Kalou can play for Chelsea so can I" !

Nice to see Jayram & PISKIE agreeing on something..

But PISKIE - you can have Drog, Kalou & Mikel if I were to make decision...

I'd happily take Drogba as a back-up striker, not sure about Kalou or Mikel.

To be fair Drogba was very close to coming to Arsenal before he signed for Chelsea but from what I remember AW couldn't agree a fee, of course having been in the lottery winners part of town for a few years may alter his salary expectations but he's not getting younger and is see less and less playing time at Chelsea.
I wouldn't mind seeing him in an Arsenal shirt but he's very very short term....
