What you doin thinking about your funeral song at 26 bro This is mine btw. It's sung in an old Berber language, before Arabic. It's a song that Slaves used to sing when they were taken from their homelands. They would sing in the hope that somebody would recognise their language, and reunite them with their people. It's a classic take on an age old story about coming home, being reunited with your loved ones and being at peace.
Had that locked down from about 14 when I first heard Sam cooke doing it. Just spoke to me and still does to this day My bird can speak some arabic btw her Irish mum who married a rasta also went Muslim for a bit when she was a kid so it's from that Proper mongrel my WiFi I like you're one too, it Took a while but I'm feeling it, shaman sounding ****
I have seen him too, Wembley Arena '79 I think, also seen James Brown . And I'm not a big soul fan but you need to see legends when the chance arises

Youre very fortunate to experience that 1st hand bro, not a massive james brown fan tbh but without him we wouldn't have 4 bars

Eagle's @Gessa Took My old dear to see them in Earl's Court years back (farewell tour I think) she loved Bbk mate I love It. . Jokes... the big man is the balls How anyone can hear that and not like it is madness
Good to have a mongrel mix of all types. Rainbow tribe innit. That song is sung in Berber, which is much older than Arabic. I've spent a fair bit of time in Morocco, out in the sticks down on the edge of the western sahara. The Berber tribes are still there, mainly Shepherds and Goat Herders. The lads who I hung out with are of course more switched on to the western world, they want Nike trainers and smartphones, but they still got their roots. They took me to a wicked festival called Gnawa, in a place called Essaouria. A celebration of native North African music. As old as the hills that music
That's the thing, no I'm not an Elvis fan! The opportunity of an all expenses paid trip came along and I was eventually persuaded to go on it....true story. Stayed in the Peabody Hotel in Memphis... https://www.peabodymemphis.com/peabody-ducks Went to Sun Studios, done Beale St as well, along with the Elvis Mansion, plus several other trips and it never cost me a penny.
