Exactly, not sure why he's still there, should have been fired by the 95th minute. Let's face it 4 points in two games from so called top teams is pretty dire!! Really?? Something in that red wine consumed on hearing the result seems to be having an effect on yours truly's thinking!! I just hope game after game he proves any doubters wrong!
I was really impressed with the way we played. When I saw the team sheet my heart sank, but was really impressed with Long and Vallery coming in.
You are so right. I believe I. The first half a Spurs player was down and the gf a me e kept going. Team seconds later, he stops it and gives Spurs a free kick.Unworthy to ref games #
It also shows that we should get Salisu for at least one more season. And he should realise it too and hopefully sign an extension
It'd be like the fall of Rome.... You'd love to see it though, especially if the game meant **** all. Both definitely booked as a minimum
If Newcastle is postponed then Salisu would miss Swansea and KWP miss Wolves, is that right? If so that might not be too terrible from our point of view.
Assume with 3 CBs we were allowing one to go in and aggressively win the ball/get in their face/prevent them from turning while the others sat back. Bednarek and Salisu were just not smart enough/overly aggressive about it. The ref was awful, but they were also making it easy for him to give fouls against them. I was sat there thinking it was just a matter of time until one of them got sent off, but as has been said, when Salisu did get sent off we then sat back and took a better defensive shape. Massive credit to the team for that, saw lots of talk among the back four and JWP who were constantly talking Valery through it. And to be fair, Valery out of position and with no game time put in a fantastic performance. Unbelievable commitment and effort from the whole team today against an in form Spurs team. Not to mention all the changes we made too and the fact we played with a man less for half the game makes it all the more impressive.
Good question. Personally I'm very happy with the last 2 games (obviously) but we're still too inconsistent for my liking. I won't go over old ground, especially as today was a really good day for the lads and RH so it feels a little unfair to stick the boot in, but he's a way off winning me over as yet. ***it's also probably because I haven't seen us play well live for ages, that tends to make a more negative outlook***
I'm generally quite positive! People (not necessarily you) just seem to take umbrage when I moan when we're ****e. I think people do get as fed up as I am with a dross result but it's easier to have a pop at me. So people perhaps think I'm negative when in fact it's just multiple other posters moaning at me! If you actually look at the threads I didn't moan when we lost to Norwich/Liverpool. I realise we support Saints not City or Barca!
SFC, the draw specialists of the división. I wonder what the record is over a season?? 15 would be good.
Great performance by the whole team and a fantastic point Although the referee was truly dreadful for us we got away with one when Forster’s ineptitude in dealing with cross balls nearly cost us. How he came to that decision was amazing
