Games in hand at the bottom aren't worth much these days.. Looks like around 30 points might be enough this season.

That’s deluded bollocks. The lowest ever points tally to stay up was 34, and that has only happened once. A handful of others have stayed up with 35/36.
That's not technically true mate. You've posted the lowest totals 17th has had rather than the lowest needed to stay up - for example last season 29 would have been enough to stay up. I think 30 may be a tad low but I'd be staggered if anyone got 33+ and went down this season.

It won’t be and the number isn’t reducing. The lowest ever PL survival tally was 34 back in 2005. Only 3 sides have ever survived on 35 and those 3 were spread over 11 years. You want to ignore all the stats that don’t suit lol.
They went down bro. The next team above them i.e. the lowest of those who stayed up, got 39. Therefore to stay up Fulham needed 39+. Not complicated lol.
Not sure I agree with that logic mate. Surely what you need to stay up is one more point than 18th - it's irrelevant how many you get. Burnley didn't require 39 points it's just what they amassed. They could have lost and drawn an extra game and still stayed up regardless.
