I think you are right. Despite having a mates who are followers of that lot - most of whom thankfully remain sane - it looks to be an inescapable truth that way too many of them appear to be slightly unhinged, obsessed with a League One team and seem to in some sort of desperate race to be the next most embarrassing half wit.

Truly, it's terryfing what a mis-placed superiority complex can do.

Well if Bale does sign for Newcastle, least he has Parklands golf course or others up here to keep him busy.....

Seen more than once Newcastle fans saying that they havnt bought merchandise for ten years because they don't want to put money in Ashley's pockets due to him not throwing all of his hard earned cash away down a Premier league black hole. And the way he treats his staff? Shocking! Fair enough. But now seen those same folk stating they are now happy to fund the new owners, like their shenanigans pale in comparison to Sir Mike's.

The truth his the way he treats his staff had **** all to do with it, they just thought it was opportunity to get other fans behind them if they said it was a reason.

If Ashley was pumping in 200 million a season for new players he could bring his worst performing staff to St James and have them put in stocks and pelted with rotten fruit at half time and they would have been queuing up to get their tomatoes!

Plus I bet the blokes that reckon they didn't buy merchandise for 10 years are talking ****e. What did they wear to go on holiday? As we all know they love wearing their shirt 7 days a week once they leave the country.

My favourite quote so far from Eddy after the match….

“We are capable of beating anybody. We proved that today”

errrrrrr, you don’t prove that today Eddy. You didn’t win, when you really should have. You’ve won one game all season. What a tit.

Absolutely love that ! Having a damn good chuckle. The only thing you could say in his defence is that it may be slightly better than Moyes telling us and the players that we would be fighting relegation

Will they be getting a celebratory certificate picture to go with the Burnley win one?

Eddie Howe says they are dangerously close to not being able to field a team (13 players + GK). They had 8 subs last night apparently. 19 - 2 new injuries. Not sure what calculater they use up there.

Be fair. All Howe did was miss a couple of letters out.

Here Eddie,... n't . You can fit them in just after the word " are" in your sentence.

Well, the precedent was set by the useless Premier League, when they allowed an Everton game to be called of citing " covid and injuries" . Absolute disgrace.

Could look even nicer if they're bottom tomorrow.

Newcastle can't keep up that level of running, from last night, as the injuries proved. A better team than United would've kept the ball instead of continually hoofing it forward.

I've not see them play that way for decades, weird to see.

I heard he had sent them out on the town to celebrate and hopefully nab a bit of Omicron for good measure.
