Yep, pulled Fred at half time and McT was ****e anyway so basically we relied on Bruno dropping back to help and he's spit his dummy at the moment.

    Both fullbacks were absolutely awful.

They didn’t attack very well and couldn't defend.

    Therefore, irrelevant.

But add to that how ridiculously ****e both Fred and McShit were and the answer is more or less that.

The 3 worst sides in the league (points wise) played their match of the season against us. There must be a conclusion somewhere in there :(

They know we have a soft centre. Apply pressure, expose the defence, then run at the back 4.

And when you've nothing to lose, you'll give it a good go.

I have no idea why we keep starting and persisting throughout the game with Rashford, Ronaldo and Bruno. Those three have been awful in the last three games. You are not going to score goals when three of your forward players are playing that poorly. Rashford in particular is extremely wasteful. While Bruno simply isn't offering anything going forward and now tends to misplace passes. With Rashford and Bruno not producing anything, Ronaldo is left trying too hard by leaving forward position which is counter productive. van der Beek should be in there with a shout, in my opinion. Sancho must start and we would be foolish to let Cavani leave in January.

Right now we should play with a front three of Sancho (R) Cavani and Ronaldo (L)

Personally I'd have DVDB, Fred and Fernandes as the midfield three. Maybe McTominay instead of Fred, but he's equally as poor at times, and very rarely very good.

Shaw and AWB should come back into the team as actual defenders, instead of pretened ones like Dalot and Telles.

I really don’t think that Shaw and AWB introduction is going to be material to the performance overall. I certainly prefer Telles to Shaw. But overall, the midfield is just not up to the task. It is clunky as hell. This is where we miss Pogba greatly, and I hate to say that. Bruno is largely ineffective without another creative player.

Sancho should absolutely always start as you mentioned. We need him in this team. I saw him dribble past two/three players yesterday and I honestly couldn’t remember the last time that I saw a United player dribble that way in the opponent’s starting half. That’s telling!

Greenwood does it quite often but always seems to go straight for goal, needs more awareness of whats around him.

Yeah, Greenwood would be the closest to that. Sancho was just past the half way line when we took them on successfully only for someone to fk up the successful pass to break down the play again. I’ve seen Greenwood do it more in advance positions.

i would like to see us start Greenwood and Sancho in place of Rashford.

I am undecided about Rashford, he obviously isn't at his best but keeps getting games through the middle or down the right.
He needs a regular run on the left where he does his best work and see if he can get his head right.

Already rumours about the senior players being disgruntled. Rangnick made his name using fledgling or average players and moulding them into a team playing his system. The whole being greater than the sum of its parts. But he’s never had to deal with the likes of CR7 or Fernandes or Pogba who could and have thrown their toys out of their prams. Everyone blamed Ole for the lack of that team cohesion Could it have been all along (some of) the players refusing to implement training and instructions?

As with Ole, it is Rangnick’s job to make it work. If players are disgruntled, sort it out!! That said, the horrible state that this team was in will take time to sort out. Ole should have never started this season as the manager, but let’s digress quickly before we go down the rat’s hole.

Bruno especially should be dropped. He hasn’t been good enough and needs to get his head in order. We continue to still play two defensive midfielders that add very little to the attack. I will be flabbergasted if we start the next game with the same midfield that played against Newcastle.

Sancho must start! Replace Rashford as well for now. And see what can be done to create channel for Ronaldo to score. That’s been missing in the past four games.

We need a creative replacement for this big time Charlie. I want to see DvB but he’s still not getting a shout even under Rangnick which is odd.

i'm struggling to understand why Lingard is getting totally blanked, not even a bench place.
The guy has been poor in the past but also has many of the assets we/Ralf need, he has a great engine, gets around the field well, has a happy knack of getting into the box at the right time and puts a very decent shot in quite often.
All this coupled with his willingness to chase down players and break up attacks at source could make him a fit for a Ralf team.

It all shows that you just cannot know what’s happening indoors. All you can do and most pundits have is to speculate and very often wrongly.

Apparently our 3rd and 2nd places in the last 2 seasons were massive underachievements. Ole was so **** that any decent manager would have easily won the title with this magnificent world beating crop of players. Some deluded fans pissed on that second place as if it was lower than the charity shield.

Now slowly we are finding out that the far from coaching staff being utterly ****, the players have been and still behaving like ****ing prima Donnas and have not played to instructions and training despite (and not because) of the manager and the coaching staff.

    Are we finding that out?

Not seen or heard any of these rumours.

The signalling from some senior player was poor against Newcastle but that can be stamped out and has to be.

I just think Rangnick has introduced a 'system' that they are struggling with, the change is huge, given how piss poor the coaching of the previous incumbent was.

Can't say I agree with some of his selections at all, but for now I think he's got to implement what he wants and see how it pans out rest of season, when he'll more than likely be replaced anyway.

    Got to win tonight though.
