But as per usual you aren't talking in facts, you twist them to suit your own unique logic. There's nothing to suggest Acun is close to walking away, absolutely none. You're also a walking contradiction, you spent all summer arguing with what Ehab said about the size of the budget etc and you categorically refused to believe a thing he said but now you want to listen to him because he made it sound less promising than everyone else has & that fits with your 'logic'.
I'll say once more .. I didn't say he was close to walking away, so why the **** say that?? Yes, in the summer I called Ehab out for lying about our budget being mid-table. It was a lie. We are hearing from various sources that the sale is not yet agreed. Please don't reply, you make stuff up and talk ****.
I'm shocked anyone is taking anything said by ehab yesterday seriously, it was just smoke and mirror run of the mill answers to questions that he can't/won't/shouldn't answer at this time. The exact same stuff/response is seen time and time again when a manager is asked about a deal for a player and they know full well in the background it's all but done! For what it's worth I've digged a little and the update I was given ( sorry if this doesn't turn out to be the case, believe me or don't believe me ).... The deal is done, the EFL owners test is passed, but they are just waiting for the EFL to give the final ok on the deal overall. Obviously this won't have been looked at by them Xmas day/boxing day.
You just know some posters won't take that and will argue the toss, but for me I thank you and hope its correct.
That's because the same posters who are now saying it's all done and we are waiting for the EFL. are the same posters who told us it was all done and just waiting for the photo opportunity a month ago. Still waiting in my cave for an official announcement.
We all know that if anyone can **** a deal up with last minute brinkmanship it's the Allams - they ****ed up the sale to Grieve introducing the SMC, they ****ed up the first attempt at the Long purchase trying to revisit the payment terms - it's part of who they are - they can't help themselves - I'm sure the deal will go through but you can rely on them to introduce as much ****itude and ****witerry trying to extract last minute value rather than closing the deal in a proper manner
Im not getting nervous. I don't get nervous about things out of my control and that do not directly affect me. If it happens it happens. Don't get nervous and have a heart attack Go get a drink and a snack It's time to relax and just chill Else everyday you'll be popping pills.
As I said, believe me it don't believe me...Im not fussed. I'm just passing on what I know, just as I have done from day one. I am so so so sorry that I aren't 100% right 100% of the time. But tbf I know how happy it seems to make you when things don't go exactly to plan/time frame. God knows what your going to do when it actually happens, but I'm sure you'll find something to pull to bits and be unhappy about!
Cheers for that I hope it's correct to, if it's not then I'm sure balkan will happily point it out from time to time 24hrs a day 7days a week for the next 50yrs!
At the end of the day, it’s night. Basically it is what it is. No point jumping up & down if it falls through, or if it goes through either. Chill out, relax, calm down.
You only to look back at the last transfer window and the debacle over trying to sign Ryan Slater on the final day of the window. The transfer had been agreed for weeks but Ehab tried to change the payment terms at the last minute and screwed up the deal. And pissed off a lot of people...
I don’t understand the claim that the EFL need to approve the deal to sell the club, it’s none of their business, they only have to approve that the purchaser is fit to run a football club.
I questioned that also as I'd never heard it before, but apparently the final paperwork etc has to be seen by them to allow the new owners to be recognised as such by the EFL. No idea of its something new, a one off or what. I've just asked someone else not involved in our club but at another in the EFL at board level and I'll see what she says ....
