I had sympathy with Blackburn fans until I saw how they're going on. **** em keep the money City don't refund them a penny
Should be cheap enough to refund them. The thick sods were heading to a non-existant place. Blackburn Rovers request a full investigation into the Hull City fixture postponement While it's not yet clear what consequences Hull could face, if any, inquiries into whether the Tigers should refund Rovers for their match preparations (hotel, travel etc) are expected while there's yet to be any discussion on travel reimbursements for supporters who had travelled to Humberside only to learn that the fixture was called off. Hull declared in an official statement that all tickets that were purchased would be eligible for the rearranged date and that those who were unable to attend the rescheduled day can apply for a full refund until 72 hours before the new matchday. https://www.lancs.live/sport/footba...vers-hull-investigation-postponement-22579694
I'm down the best part of 300 quid and that's without tickets. Live down south and booked hotel in your 'lovely' city as an Xmas gift for my 3 brothers and their families. Some of you lot on here are charming in your attitude to those that lost out due to your ****-shambles of a club.
I have every sympathy with your plight, as I do with the City fans that made similar journeys. You let yourself down with your ignorance on where the blame lies, so you may find you'll get less sympathy than you may otherwise have done. My comment was more aimed at the ignorance of geography and culture displayed by the **** witted journalist.
I mean we only had 19 positive Covid results come through, I'm sure we're the only club it's happened to and yeah we should definitely have fielded the U13s. Some people lost out, but it wasn't the club's fault it happened, it was the EFL.
We wouldn't be calling for an investigation if it was simply down to the EFL. Why didn't your club warn us that there was a chance of this happening if you had already been in touch with the EFL on Friday? Our CEO knew as much as the fans did, and that was nothing. If I knew there was 50/50 chance it not going ahead, I'm not travelling.
Which is not the issue. Of course, if you cannot field a team fine. It's the timing of it and not letting travelling fans know.
Wrong by a mile - this has nothing to do with Venky's. They don't even exist to me, never watch the games, and use us as a tax vessel. No connection whatsoever
Go on then. Tell us exactly when it was apparent that we couldn't raise a team. You lot seem to be well in the know
You reckon? What's your point caller? You do know a lot of posters on here and other City fans lost out too don't you? You do know we don't run the club don't you? So what are you hoping to achieve here, because if it's sympathy and understanding, you've a ****ed up way of going about it.
Which part of 'the EFL were informed on Friday that 14 had tested positive' is it that you don't get... if the EFL were informed, the chances are and amazingly no one has come out at your side and said so (there will be a paper trail I suspect) that that was the current status... when your manager knew that our manager had tested positive, would it not have been good management to make enquiries.., even call our manager who's number he surely has or through others..?... sorry you personally lost money, you wont be the first and wont be the last across the country... its happened at all levels...
Frankly there's no way our owners would want to miss out on the TV and gate money unless the situation was serious
How could we let fans know? The lads who had tested positive had already been reported to the EFL, but we were told to field a youth team. Then, on the morning of the game the youth team were tested and more positive cases came back so the EFL abandoned it. Short of playing the tots, I don't know what more you wanted us to do.
