You can see the difference when we have the lion's share of possession as the defence and midfield are getting plenty of that ball, but what really stands out is that the defence are able to rebuild on their own and Lloris is basically a spectator, while against Saltypool he was receiving the ball from the back line as we were having to rebuild from deeper What else stands out is how many triangles the team are creating, with two on each flank, because that's how effectively they were recycling the ball for the entire match
Zaha fully deserved what he got today, for too long he has lived off his " most fouled" reputation , Japha's red this season came directly from his ****housery Well done lads we owed this lot a good going over shame it was not 5 or 6
I am not sure why once again a decision in our match has come under so much scrutiny, watch the first challenge carefully it is a nasty premediated kick and was a definite yellow card, then he was a cretin to to offer a ref like Moss an easy chance to to show the 2nd. From 30 mins we were very good, the confidence in the side once we scored was remarkable the sending off then allowed us even more space and that became without question our easiest win of the season. Big week ahead now with 2 away wins required if we want to stay in touch with top 4.
And we kept the ball for a whole minute prior to the goal with ~18 passes involving 8 players. Brilliant really.
Has anyone seen this from FB : Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Est 1882 Fan's Page 100% TRUE STORY Before Zaha was sent off or even yellow carded he shouted into the shelf side for us to go “Suck ya Mum” he said it 3 times!! He walked away but turned around and spat whilst looking at the shelf. 100% true story and why no one’s mentioned it yet is beyond belief! The guy lost his head today and was nothing short of being an absolute lunatic. This should be shared and all over the papers! One of the worst professional footballers in the modern game. please log in to view this image 117 comments 96 shares Can anyone confirm this happened? If so more trouble for Zaha methinks.
The highlights from our Youtube channel show it pretty clearly: Zaha just intentionally fouls Sanchez. He kicks his right foot, while the ball is being played from his left. There's no way that he was going for the ball or trying to do anything other than make contact with the player. Not a lot of impact in it, though. Probably thought he'd get away with it.
Still don't know how VAR gave Sonny's goal... Looks offside to me, but happy to drive to Barnard Castle to check my eyesight
Played it at 0.25 speed and I think he's marginally behind the ball when Moura hits it. Definitely beyond the last defender.
Obviously we did not have "player-cam" on Zaha, but there seems to have been some handbags brewing between him and Sanchez, Whether it started before or after the first foul, I know not. "Probably thought he'd get away with it." Will be interesting to see if/how the treatment of Zaha by refs changes after this game.
Before. Just watched MOTD and they show Sanchez and Hojbjerg winding him up. Gets dumped on his arse a couple of times and whines at the ref about it a lot. The commentator sounds depressed. Hopes he's alright.
How depressed (on a scale of "meh" , to the "oh no" when Spurs beat the Spanners 4-3 at the death) ??
Oh boy, Palace fans are crying "conspiracy" at that one Turns out there's enough red in their short after all...
In the 4 PL games Skipp started and Conte managed, Spurs have had 4 clean sheets IIRC. Not too shabby.
Notably in the final quarter of time, Skipp was actually around the Palace box attempting to assist in the attack. Whether by initiative (11 vs 10, game won etc) or by instruction from Conte, that shows progression,
Every Christmas I am given 'Spursy'' little extras from various family members & this year it was bars of Cadburys chocolate saying 'Come On You Spurs' plus a Spurs hot water bottle! Very nice too...
