Proper performance that. Complete control and at 3-0 played within ourselves knowing tougher games to come. Cirkin and Hume back in. Evans back in. Options from the bench coming back. A couple of quality additions in Jan and we could be hard to stop.

Our style of football is quality. Press when it is on, good shape when it isnt. We move the ball well and once we pick the foreqrd pass the pace goes up dramatically. Embo, Neil, Pritchard, Dujaku, Gooch means we come at their defence from all angles. Pleasure to watch.

Seems clear that we had a great transfer window last time, now that they've settled in. I don't think we'll see many new additions in January but I expect them to be of the same quality and we'll be in a very strong position.

good, solid performance that and after the shift the lads put in at arsenal it could have been very different (usual sunderland style).

we controlled it and looked damn good at times although donny shot themselves in thier collective feet with some really bad passing, still say their defence did ok considering and i though young blythe did well against dajaku first half but his inexperience showed when he resorted to shirt pulling and was lucky not to give at least another penalty away (still no idea how the pub landlord ref did not give it, most blatant in a long time) but he is a young lad and will learn, much as our lads will learn from the arsenal game...think the commentator mentioned it was only his 2nd league start.

evans, good to see him back and starting, as usual he was not the stand out player but calmly 'mopped up' and laid the ball off for others to use, steady performance and pritchard is just getting better after many wrote him off because he did not hit the ground running...all i really want now is for someone to put the ball on a plate for gooch to score, he got a bit lost as the game went on trying to get shots in and that takes away from another decent performance from him.

as fans, we have cried out for years for a midfield general type of player yet we are now blessed with at least 4 that any team in this league and probably the championship would love to have, as said earlier, keeping them lads fit is going to be key.

LJ, he got pelters when we hit the blip so he has to get the credit for turning things round, our early season games we looked good and i think we look even better now.

Aye was impressed with the type of player we were going for and what we were trying to achieve with it.

It was clear they had a philosophy and not just trying to sign whoever was available .

Of course there was no guarantees it would work out but so far looks good, the only slight negative was I think the age and relatively inexperienced side contributed to the slump in the middle. However, can't have it both ways the reason we are playing this attractive attacking football is we signed young players with that in their locker as opposed to league 1 bruisers.

So, a big expectant support, weak opposition, the chance to get into the automatic places and people saying we'd blow it ...

    ... we didn't.

Losing Broadhead for 3 months was a downer this morning, but this win shows that there is enough depth and quality in the squad to ride out anything short of a tsunami of injuries. It'll be tough to find signings in January who'll go straight in as starters - credit to LJ and his team if he can do it. And credit to him for his part in working us out of the slump.

I have to admit my doubts were wrong, Dajaku is one of the best players in L1 ...

    ... now he's toughened up he's a real threat.

Clinical job against a very poor side....but how many times have we cocked up against so called "poor sides" in this this league... Pleased with that performance, next game will be a real match tho.

Feels like this is the most we have clicked as a team for many years, not just since league one but before that too. We've had good runs but it's never felt as real and convincing as it does now.

Obviously not every game will be as straightforward as that was but we've got a foundation of both quality and grit now.

I would hope that we have a relatively busy transfer market in January it should NOT be about consolidating our position but ensuring that we build on what we have achieved up to now . This is where the new management team will need to earn their corn by identifying players that will need to hit the ground running to replace our long term injured players and be challenging the players currently in the side , don’t think we will need to shell out silly money but a striker to replace Broad head has to be a priority and January looks quite tough so we need to be ready as the market opens .
