Sry, TP is no hero - Waddo didnt have 80 million and the unconditional love of a chairman! To be great you have to have integrity and deliver against all the odds, not waste money, show disrespect to a large proportion of the Stoke faithful and act like a spoiled child with the press and his peers! Oh, and showing a total disrespet for professional footballers by playing his personal preference of YES men over ability and destroying players careers by being hypicrotical, bullying and abusing his unquestion position of power! This man is no Waddo, Fergie, Clough, Jose, Wenger, O'neil etc he is just a manager who has been in the right place at the right time with the right backing doing the bare minimum that would be expected of any person holding the position of Stoke City F.C Manager!

I was talking about a totally different thread and YOU know IT? Check it out.. it's called "last nights game" on the Fulham board. Dated 20th Oct ONLY YOU commented on that thread. The one I first mentioned correct? YES, I had an argument with Fulham fans over Mr Murphy but, I was way short of calling anyone a THUG... The word I used was "Hypercrite" just asked for their oppinion on Mr Murphy and got nothing in reply. As for slating other Stoke fans Crouchie... WHY? I know Sgt isn't the most optimistic of fans but,like me he hardly misses a home game. We are ALL entitled to an "Oppinion" good,bad or indifferent. But, calling shouting other Stoke fans isn't on simple as.
Back on topic.. Smithers You know that I remember well what Waddo did for Stoke City and you are quite correct. T.P. has done really well but ANY Stoke fan who thinks the T.P. as a person, a tactition and player's Manager... NEVER saw the Waddington era... a brilliant man and as yet, Tony Pulis isn't that good. Agreed, he's doing really well but as said by Smither's... ANYONE, any decent manager could have done what he has, with so much backing. THAT, is my own oppinion NOT that of many Stokies on here.. fair enough, I like what T.P. is doing at HOME... and in Europe.. but AWAY from home.. he is clueless and he's losing some of the respect we've gained over the last season or so! In short, he's CRAP tatically IMO. Face it, we were not going to beat Arsenal today on paper they are too good. But we could have at least "Had a go and gone for it, we did not IMO" That is what Ps me off about T.P. nothing more.
Oh look, we've lost a game and it's suddenly got lively on here again. I don't remember this many threads/comments after the wins against Fulham and Maccabi. For the record, I'm not condoning today's performance - we were dire and our away performances need to improve for us to progres any further (and I have severe doubts as to whether they will). However, some semblence of balance wouldn't go amiss with regards to the amount of threads that praise/slate our club.

Everyone's got the right to moan Potts, especially after what seems like our 2549874959587th garbage away performance since promotion. I'm on everyone' side on here with regards to our form away from Fortress Britannia. I just find it funny that there's been dozens upon dozens of comments on here since the Arsenal game, whereas after the Maccabi/Fulham games there was barely a murmur.
Fair comments! I did say that for the results aginst the 5/6 shouldnt be a guide, it should be from 7th down and especially the newbies. I actually think on balance we hav e played some pretty good football this term, when we have had more or less our best team out! I dont think Europa league should be our priority, playing our best team and being positive in the prem should be! I know I fly off the handle sometimes, but people saying how great TP is just gets on my tits! I always praise TP and the team when we play well, even if we dont get the result, but anyone with half a brain can see that we are repeating the same mistakes and form as we have for the last 3 seasons in certain areas of the game! Aside from that, its good to have you back to bring some sensible balance to the discussions!
Absolutely spot on. It boils my blood as much as anyone else's when I see Diao coming on with half an hour to go in an attempt to shut up shop, but it's something I've learnt to put up with. On days like this, I find solace in the fact that there's usualy a good home display just around the corner. And thanks for the compliments as well, mate. Your opinions are always well thought-out and I don't think you fly off the handle as much as you possibly think you do. It's a passionate game, after all.
