Just for the record, I wasn’t arguing over semantics. But yes, it’s Boxing Day and you’re right. Better things to be doing.
So who’s at fault? From what I can gather, first-teamers tested positive either last night or this morning, EFL told us to play u23s, then we tested them and a chunk of them were positive too. Think the FA and EFL need to get a grip on the whole testing process. Palace appealed for a postponement today but got told to play 2 hours before as well.
The government is at fault for being too feeble to take control. I realise that probably breaks the board rules but it’s the only correct answer. These games shouldn’t have been going ahead.
Read your post again...it says "how ill they are" I would say you made an assumption they are ill...so do you accept they may not be "ill" at all?
Telling a side to play their 23s is a ****ing joke. If Blackburn had 17 tested positive instead of us, they'd be whinging like hell if they were forced to play with their 23s given their league position. The Rovers fans are really whinging because they wanted an easy 3 points against our 23s.
If there was there will plenty to put in it as all the catering for todays game had already been bought and prepared. Shocking late decision by the EFL in calling this one off.
Why does it always have to be someone's fault the games off, deal with it lf anyone wants to suffer real disappointment go and see the new Spiderman film utter rubbish I think Marvel have lost the plot.
Remember that one. We booked into a hotel, they took our money, let us book in, then we left for the pub where we were told by the land lord that the game was off and people in York knew the day before.
My timeline today. Arrive in Princes Avenue - 13:01. Game called off - 12:59. I’m the real victim here. Four hour round trip for nothing.
I learnt long ago how to avoid real disappointment by not ever going to see a Marvel film as I am now currently over 12 years old. And I have never seen Star Wars either, or the sound of music and I ****ing hate with a passion that utter ****e ABBA. Hope you all had a good Xmas!
I drove all the way down to Colchester a few years ago - when I got there I was told it was off because of waterlogged pitch - 550 miles round trip - i was told my ticket was valid for the rematch
Went to watch City play Gateshead Jan 66 in a Cup Tie. Drove up the A1 in a blinding snow storm in a car with what one could say mildly were a poor imitation of snow tires. Around the Catterick exit found out he game was postponded.
Your obviously not on the A list. I got my e mail at 12.55. It was always likely to be called off as soon as the manager tested +
