Think we've settled okay after the initial 15 mins flurry they had after the goal. Just need to make sure we don't do anything stupid before HT.
Anyone know why Djenepo isn’t in instead of Walcott or at least on the bench ? Not on the injury list site or listed with covid
Bizarrely City don’t seem like a side to go for that Otherwise they would have done so against Leeds as that should really have been on the cards
This is probably because in Ralph's book of game plays, two pages are stuck together, so when the players read their instructions, they get to the end of the page that says 'How to defend a lead', and they turn over to see pictures of Sammy Saint doing 'Gangnam Style'.
I do wonder if it was sensible changing Forster for Caballero given the length of time since he last played.
Zero complaints about that half. But we all know what is coming. Starting with a certain WH substitution.
Some of our players do look 10 % sharper. Perhaps some extra rest or work on the training ground has helped.
I'm listening to the game on Radio Solent ('What you don't want to do is....'), and the commentators have mentioned several instances of Fraser taking a very long time to take goal kicks, etc. Maybe this is part of Ralph's master plan - Forster slows things down until Kevin (everyone's) Friend finally loses whatever passes for patience and books him, at which point Caballero has finished his warm up routine (sucking on a Werther's original, a nice cup of cocoa, and a short nap), and is brought on, to make some outstanding, match-winning saves. Hey, it's Christmas, so I'm allowed to ramble on (even more than usual)
It's so sad that I have almost no confidence we can actually win from this position. Please prove me wrong boys.
So far so good. A second goal early ish in second half would be delightful. Failing that we might need Ralph to be proactive with changes. Insurance bet placed.
